Description of treatment

Why is that lame? The music forums scores a higher level of "nothing to say"..per post and didnt get that harsh description..

Is there a chance of change it to something nicer? Like even nothing? Something like there was nothing to say so i better leave it blank?

Just my opinion, as i prefer this forum better than the other and people of here is not happy with that neither.. not that we cannot sleep but yeah wasn't nice to read that.. it was like New Look with 100% lame flavor.

just my opinion

Sorry, Gerry, it's been explained. It's a quote from 8 1/2.

yeah.... but you know "F*** Off" is also a quote (No Way Out, one of my favorite movies).... but i'm not paying for/maintaining the site so it's not my perogative. My only concern is that for people who don't know it's from 8 1/2 or that it's even a quote, there's no real way to tell that this forum is about movies based on the name/description... which is ok too i guess.

i'm assuming the Bound description is also a quote then?

Re: Description of treatment

Do you know the story of the monkeys of the shitty island?”I asked Noboru Wataya.
He shook his head, with no sign of interest. “Never heard of it.”
“Somewhere, far, far away, there’s a shitty island. An island without a name. An island not worth giving a name. A shitty island with a shitty shape. On this shitty island grow palm trees that also have shitty shapes. And the palm trees produce coconuts that give off a shitty smell. Shitty monkeys live in the trees, and they love to eat these shitty-smelling coconuts, after which they shit the world’s foulest shit. The shit falls on the ground and builds up to shitty mounds, making the shitty palm trees that grow on them even shittier. It’s an endless cycle.”
I drank the rest of my coffee.
“As I sat there looking at you”, I continued, “I suddenly remembered the story of this shitty island. What I’m trying to say is this. A certain kind of shittiness, a certain kind of stagnation, a certain kind of darkness, goes on propagating itself by the power of iets own self-contained cycle. And once it passes a certain point, no one can stop it – even if the person himself wants to stop it.

Re: Description of treatment

See, Adam knows. ;)

I believe that quote to be applicable to just about every company, organization or group of people that grows beyond a managable number.

As for my treatment description, point taken from those people who have a problem with it - personally I find a huge distinction between someone quoting "fuck off" vs. something incredibly memorable like "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn". Perhaps less people know what I'm referencing but that doesn't bother me at the moment.

At some point in the near future these forums will be 100% community controlled and then all of you are welcome to title, subtitle and complain about your own decisions all you want.

Way to just invalidate everything I was fighting for in the other threads. Bloody hell.

I believe putting it in quotes keeps the word order intact.
