The main so called cheesy synth in Diamond Jigsaw seems to have been beefed up a little, still sounding good.

yeah, it´s not that I get goosebumps but it sounds as if it could fit any national festival or even a football arena :)

Is it ironic that this is likely the post-Van Dyk version?
Also, an interesting twist to see Downpipe on the setlist. That leaves 4 new additions!

Setlist from Sydney:

Intro (? Ambient thing unsure what it was)
Downpipe
Always Loved A Film
Dark Train
Two Months Off
Scribble
Bird1/Strumpet
Cowgirl/Rez/Cowgirl
Between Stars
Diamond Jigsaw
King Of Snake
Born Slippy/Nuxx

Great set after a major disaster with police shutting the venue UW were going to play in and not allowing anyone into the building for 3 hours!

Will go into more details later.

Didn't see any of the Underworldlive team and these goodies that were supposed to be going round and given out? Anyone have any idea what it was?

Stay tuned for further updates as I might have something special for everyone in a few days...once i've had time to edit...;);):D:D

That would be "Always Loved A Film" (here's a video containing the most recent studio version available, just in case you haven't heard it yet). The fact that they're singing it with those lyrics means it probably resembles the Brixton version that they most recently let out for a spin. Good news for me! I may be in the minority here but I absolutely love that version.
Also, what do you mean by "something special"? Did you tape the whole gig, as your comprehensive setlist seems to (excitingly!) imply?

Nice one, Matt. Good to see they managed to fit a lot of new tunes in there, while still playing some crowd favorite tunes.

Was the ambient intro anything like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvZeAcLtiI0

I actually thought "Between Stars" sounded more trancey than "Diamond Jigsaw" but it wasn't too far trance.

I videoed the show but was also dancing in front of the left hand speaker so there is a lot of footage of black (the speaker stack) except for the times when i did turn to video UW properly so not sure about loading the stuff to youtube as a lot of people will just think I'm an awful cameraman...lol. I really don't know about putting them on youtube or not? Should I or shouldn't I?

But I should be able to do something with the audio.

:D
