why didn't anyone tell me????

I just got onto iTunes and saw it -
the deluxe version of Tricky's first album has a bonus disc of b-sides, rough mixes, and a couple of unreleased tracks

I FINALLY will get a copy of "Slick 66"

It doesn't have "Nothing's Clear" or the original demo version of "Aftermath" but hey, beggars can't be choosers

It was fun to listen to this again. Some of the tracks I hadn't heard on disc 2 are great. Some of them are unnecessary. Overall, it's a great package. It's a shame Tricky got too fucked up and egotistical to make decent music again. He had a great 3 album run.

Yeah, Maxinquaye and Pre-Millenium Tension are fuckin' genius. Can't wait to get my hands on this...

totally agree...

he pretty much lost the plot right at "Angels with Dirty Faces" (I only liked half of the songs... but the b-sides were great)

oh and the mention of Pre-Millenium Tension reminds me...

I guess this dude worked on that album, and if you click the link - it takes you to his myspace, which has a few unreleased tracks/ alt takes of songs from those sessions

...so if anyone knows how to get those as mp3's... let me know

And I'm a little underwhelmed about this release. I guess I was hoping for some unearthed Martina masterpieces. But these rough mixes and acapellas are interesting, so good thing itunes will let you download piecemeal.
