I'm on for going to this too (@ 013, maybe not I Love Techno), currently just making sure nothing gets in the way...

I've holidays due, it's a good time, and three fucking hours... It's also an _underworld_ gig, which should make a good difference - I saw them in Dublin with Basement Jaxx and the crowd weren't as into them as they were Jaxx. Makes a difference I think.

European bands come over all the time, I don't see why UW should be any different. I am sure bands don't have to go through all the crap that us regular joe's do.

And if they aren't coming over here because it isn't cost effective, then fuck 'em. I guess I thought it was about the music and fans, I hope I am right.

Um, they were joking. UW will do a few U.S. dates like they always do. Be patient, dude. I was crushed when Orbital didn't do any U.S. shows before they retired, but I didn't curse them for it.

Come on now. Politics aside, there are plenty of Underworld fans here. And for any acts that are boycotting America, I hope they know that they're abandoning a whole bunch of fans...

For the record... I had a blast going to 2 shows, last time they toured. That should be incentive enough for them to come, knowing that I'll buy tickets to at least two shows... :)

Orbital's farewell "tour" was pretty hastily arranged and they didnt really plan to play at all but they were offered Glastonbury one more time and a couple of other sweet shows. It was better than nothing and a lot of people flew to where they were playing just to see them. I was lucky enough to be there and though the gigs weren't the strongest theyve done, it was good to see them one final time.

As for Underworld, I'm getting sick of people's coming on here moaning that they aren't playing the USA. It takes a lot of money and effort to tour the USA and its commercial suicide to do it without a product in the stores. Be patient. It will happen. So until then, STFU and wait.

If anyone is a member of Orkut by the way, check out the Underworld community there that I run (3800 members and growing) and you'll see its full of Brazilians but they dont moan (well, not in English anyway) and Underworld have NEVER played there despite a large following.

Glad I'm not the only one craving a Toronto date. I know a large group of Western New Yorkers with our fingers crossed. I keep telling my friends, "It's like last time, album first then North American tour." So I keep looking for that album....

Extra concert Underworld in 013

Wegens groot succes geeft Underworld op woensdag 9 november een extra optreden in 013 in Tilburg. De kaartverkoop voor deze show start aanstaande donderdag (29 september) om 10.00 uur. De show op 10 november is inmiddels uitverkocht.
De Britse elektronica act verzorgt op beide avonden een drie uur durende live show. Underworld werd vooral bekend door het album 'Second Toughest in the Infants' uit 1996 En de single ‘Born Slippy’ die een plek kreeg op de soundtrack van de succesfilm Trainspotting. Later verschenen nog de albums 'Beaucoup Fish' (1999), 'Everything, Everything' (2002) en 'A Hundred Days Off' uit 2002, wat het eerste album was dat oprichters Hyde en Smith als duo uitbrachten. In juli was Underworld nog met een live set op 5 days off te zien.
