Name one album that you think everyone should have on their iPod...

I'm looking for some new stuff to listen to for a long drive from Florida to Michigan.

Name one album that you think everyone should have on their iPod. Even though this place isn't that busy, let's make a rule where you can only post on recommendation a day.

Also, since this is an Underworld site, I don't think anyone has to recommend any of their CDs. :)

My first recommendation: VNV Nation - Empires

Oooh.... if you're down with stuff like VNV, might I suggest something like Seabound's "Double Crosser" album (if you don't already have it that is). The Seabound live disc that just came out is also pretty damn good.

I dj at the local industrial/electronic/goth club and my fellow djs and I will play VNV Nation and Underworld in equal measures on any given night :)

Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II

It's good open road music. Or good do-lots-drugs-in-the-desert music (at least that's what it sounds like). Psychedelic cow-punk.

I'm usually alone in recommending this.

Edit: Is there a type of music you're looking for? Or is this an open ended question for anyone and everyone?
