just a question that's probably been asked loads of times
Anyone know what was Emerson's last ever gig with underworld?

Maybe the 1999 MTV Music awards? He left the band in April of 2000... |

The 1999 MTV EMA would be the best bet, unless Underworld played some hitherto unknown gig between that and the JBO 10th Anniversary (which was the first post-Darren E. gig). I have a faint memory of watching them do Push Upstairs, but no luck finding it online anywhere as of yet.

The last gig with Emerson was the Apocalypse Tube broadcast, which happened on Nov. 20, 1999. You can see it here:

That was such a strange time, the BF tour was done.
The Dublin EMTV gig and then that over night on the bus to Newcastle for that show was strange. At both we did one song only. Mixing visuals without the vibe of a whole show to build it up - and hit all the right elements, while meeting the TV rules around strobing FX. Sad way to end it in hindsight. |

Ah, thanks for confirming it was one song at each appearance. I wondered about that.

FYI, I found this article about what The Apocalypse Tube was:

Well, this is interesting. Someone just posted a video of Push Upstairs from Apocalypse Tube (the previous video above, which has been pulled, was of Born Slippy).
