Wonder if a TMO drop is on the way

------------

Two Months Off (Live at Glastonbury 2016) - Free Download

Underworld’s headline show on the West Holts stage at Glastonbury Festival on 24th June 2016 was the band’s first visit to the legendary festival since 1999. Four songs in, Two Months Off began and levitation was achieved.

It was a remarkable example of the healing power of communal music – the band commanding an unstoppable train of positivity and hope with room for everyone to jump onboard (and dry out!). It was just what people needed to send them into the night, faith restored.

Sign up for the World of Underworld below and we will send you the full track download.

definitely.

there are a few Underworld songs I love, but am oddly sick of, or have no variation to them. this is one of them. I don't even know how to explain it but when listening to live sets I usually skip this track. maybe its just too long? anyway, ill buy whatever they're throwing at me :)

"Two Months Off Limited Edition 2021"

safe bet there.
tried for the longest to connect to this one but never fully did. didn't help that it was in every live show/bootleg for years and years.

It's one of those rare UW songs where I prefer the radio edit to the original. Also true of Ring Road and the Barking Mix of King of Snake, but that's partially because of the bits added to those, rather than taken away.

The BBC posted video of this performance years ago:

Always a fun song live.

I remember waiting for radio 1 to play this when it was first released all the long time ago.

Yeah, definitely a track that's been played out a bit live. Even though NUXX, Cowgirl, PG etc usually (almist always?) make appearances in the setlist, up until the Barking era, the live versions could be counted on to be unique with different improv elements. TMO however always seemed pretty invariant in live gigs. Im probably forgetting some classic jams, but yeah, fairly same version every time.

However, the cowbell extra ending on the album version still makes me smile!

The other free downloads weren't ever on streaming services, were they? This one is... Glastonbury 2016 live album coming? Or the AHDO deluxe edition? There's also a 2-track single released on streaming with the album version of Two Months Off (on Spotify here).

Underworld also changed their artist banner and avatar on Spotify to the new Two Months Off live single artwork.

and Pete Tong's "...it's been tested, it goes off" when first describing it.

Be nice if it was the start of the AHDO reissue campaign. Even though it's only 19 years old, Karl did mention something about being worried about doing a second Drift at this point interfering with the AHDO box, so maybe it's due.

Yes, exactly. True. I remember that one. Great.

I like a lot AHDO, atmosphere of the album is unique.

I'm surprised they put this up on Spotify as a single...

https://open.spotify.com/album/2Q0EK...urce=copy-link

Meanwhile they didn't put Rez/Cowgirl live up

Oh, and it also includes the studio version of Two Months Off.

Re: Two Months Off (Live at Glastonbury 2016)

God I hope so! It's a good album, not their best, but I am DYING to hear all the unreleased stuff from that era as their live stuff from around that time was exceptional and their creative output was arguably at its peak then (maybe until DRIFT anyway!). Would love if they included a re-issue of Riverrun with it too and full version of Ansum too. It's such a strange album as it was the first UW album I heard and got immediately hooked by "Sola Sistim" which is about as far removed from the other 99% of their music as you can get haha. I don't love it and I think it could've been improved by replacing a couple of the songs with other edits/other songs entirely from that era, but it's just also flawless it's hard to put into words haha.

Re: Two Months Off (Live at Glastonbury 2016)

Riverrun was part of the OWB sessions so we won't get it as part of AHDO.

Re: Drop #4 - Two Months Off Limited Drop

The ending of the alt version sounds like it would perfectly blend into Jumbo if ever sequenced live.

The cowbell at the end really wants to go into 'Soul Limbo' by Booker T & the MGs.
