I got the download last night...

I haven't been able to REALLY listen to it (literally just the first two tracks)

but ... from what I heard - it was quite nice (not necessarily "new" sounding though)

There was a stretch for about 9 years that I firmly believed that this record would never happen. Aware of the story of this record and all that happened after, I was just glad that Kevin didn't kill himself (a morbid thought which seemed scarily plausible) -- but from about 2000 until their reformation for gigs in 2008, this was a record that would never exist, I'd believed.

To be sitting here right now, listening to this album, and it's a good, good album... man it's a good day. Hooray for shoegaze, hooray for Kevin and hooray for the fans that waited almost 22 years. It's a good day for all.

Some nice touches in there, needs a Weatherall-treatment here and there, praps - but amazing to finally have it!
