Looks like ITV2 are showing highlights from the festival on various nights, Monday night's program looks to be the best bet for a smidgen of UW.

I think they've mostly been streamed off of some itunesfestival myspace website.

Won a pair of tickets and my brother is too pussywhipped to escape from dinner-at-the-inlaws to come along, so i have a "plus one" slot to fill...

I shall start the bidding at one compliment on my incredible good looks. Any offers to raise?

(Edit: This offer may be withdrawn if said brother fights for his right to party)

Okay, so they are offering to Sell the show via itunes, but it's not possible to buy it in the states?!

The other iTunes Festival acts' shows have been showing up in the US iTunes store, once they're actually released (just no pre-order link). It looks like this year the EP's have been releasing within about a week of the show.

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

Mentioned on the Facebook, you'll be able to watch live via MySpace at:
http://www.myspace.com/iTunesFestival

(I assume someone can/will record this)

Champiness 07-16-2010 02:01 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

I'll try, anyway! They said they'd be releasing an EP, though...
EDIT: What time would this be on for somebody residing in the EST timezone (i.e. me)?

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

Hello? It was mentioned on the first page of this thread that it'll be streamed on ITV's website: http://www.itv.com/channels/itv2/itv...sfestival2010/
Goodness gracious...

Champiness → According to ITV, it'll be on at 8 PM - which is 3 PM EST. That's my time zone too, lol.

Champiness 07-17-2010 12:00 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

So... thanks for that, but another question:
How do you watch it from the MySpace Page? I'm from America so I believe this may be the only way for me to watch.

the-star-samurai 07-17-2010 12:04 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

I have just learned that ITV streams can only be seen by UK residents. This includes on the ITV site and the MySpace stream (since ITV is providing that).

...no wonder it hasn't been working for me.

This is absolutely disappointing.

Anyone figured this out? Country restricted internet streams = sucks.

Show the rest of the world some love!

Isn't the entire point of the internet to be able to connect and share information (and pr0n) without borders?

Was hoping for some good news: Yan had posted that its a 'worldwide feed' but everything I'm seeing is stating otherwise. Hopin' Yan is right but its not looking good.

Kinda disappointed as I shuffled my entire day around watching this.

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

If you live in UK, you can come down to the gig for free. Too busy? Watch from home for free. Anyone else, go stuff it...

I know it's not UW's fault, but between BBC player & the other UK only crap we have to deal with, we should cut UK off from everything else on the net, including p0rn.

potatobroth 07-17-2010 12:38 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

since Im home now, I'll stick around and try about the time UW is sposeta go on. clinging to the hope that itll work for their set.

Fuck - came up against the non-UK error here in Spain, but just got my mate's VPN to work in time for ALAF...

Fuck this is cool...hope someone is recording...

the-star-samurai 07-17-2010 02:02 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

So using one method I will not mention, I managed to catch the ending of ALAF and some of "Dark Train" - but then it stopped working.

At least...I watched and enjoyed some of it.

Is it over yet? Out of curiosity. Weird that a thread like this isn't that active right now.

From what I listened to, it was a nice set. :D

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

Amazing set... new material sounds stunning and the classics were given a nice treatment.
VPN from Spain to UK managed to mostly hold up, which was a complete surprise.

Managed to tune in during ALAF, and convinced my mac to record the stream for the last 55 mins...

I'd recommend waiting until a complete set recording is out there, but for the impatient Mod note: I'd hold off on posting any recordings until the official EP comes out, and then don't post stuff that overlaps with it

thanks! will download anyway.

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

This was via itv.com, not the DR stream.

It's complete from Scribble onwards, except for a few seconds dropped from Scribble just before the breakdown and a few seconds from the start of Diamond Jigsaw.

Unfortunately, missed ALAF & Dark Train, and whatever came before them...

can't download :(

anyway, i'll wait for the partygoers :D

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

It was ace. Can't give a full setlist off the top of my head, but Dark Train, Rez/Cowgirl, KoS, Nuxx, Between Stars and Scribble all featured.

Scribble in particular made the crowd go wild.

Lots of kids left after that one though.

Alternative link - this one is a bit louder as well - the original was a little bit low...

Guys, come on, there's going to be an official EP release in a few days. Let's hold off on posting recordings of the show.

thanks!

It's been a good UW day - ALAF from Tong, now this!

Champiness 07-17-2010 04:40 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

Very, very disappointed about this "UK Only" stuff - it doesn't help anybody and I can't see any real conflict of licensing that would occur from a band that owns all their own music.

BrotherLovesDub 07-17-2010 04:46 PM

Re: Underworld @ iTunes festival July 17th

yeah, seriously doubt a buffering stream rip will take away many sales from iTunes. Plus, nearly everyone here is going to spend $70 dollars on the new album.

For every $10 sold in iTunes, the artist gets less than $1. Appx .94ยข

Why aren't these tracks being sold through UWLive.com? The tracks offered on iTunes are strictly promotional for Underworld. There will be no substantial financial gain from them.
