New new chat room 2.0!

So, Skype is kind of old hat, but its been revamped and now works on the web. No download required.

To get to Skype in your browser, go to http://web.skype.com/en but you can also use the link below to directly join the chat.

There is still a Dirty chat and here is the link:
https://join.skype.com and then add /kXpYTdRfIHtH (test to fool russian bots)

For the record, if you still have an old Skype account that doesnt use your email as login, and you're using a username to login, you need to change that ASAP because that's why you hear reports of people's accounts being hacked. Just go to your Microsoft account security settings and disable your Skype username in "alias preferences". Once you do that, your Skype username (and old Skype password) cannot be used to login to your Microsoft account.

yepyep been there done that then i got a new pc, forgot old pw for skype so made new acc and the tinyurl from the dirtyradio website wants to be opened in skype, ofcourse! but then nothing happens? help? prtpls?:o

Some are likely lurking like me. I check in once or twice a week, but yeah, it seems like most people take their discussions elsewhere on the internet..

Unfortunately people dont really hang out online in public anymore. Which is really sad. FB chat, whatsapp and other walled gardens are the way these days. The chat is still there and go in there every week or so. Me and some other dirts have a private Slack chat. We used to use Skype but it became too bloated and loads of accounts got hacked when MS switched to Microsoft Live account checkins.

Last I saw, it was MIKE who got hacked. *facepalm*

But its not our fault that someones account gets hacked and decides to send out friend requests. We've cleaned it up for now.

It never went away. It was just not easy to find. Now its joined the modern web 2.0 world.
