Mad cool festival in Madrid on Saturday July 14th. Absolutely MENTAL lineup.
Just on Saturday night you have Daniel Avery, Dj Koze, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Portugal The Man, Richie Hawtin, Nine Inch Nails, Underworld, Queens of the Stone Age, and Depeche Mode among others. a poster that will probably be out of date as they add more: https://i.redd.it/gjwr5y0afle01.jpg website: https://madcoolfestival.es/en/line-up.php |

Underworld Biggest Weekend Lauren Laverne and Joe Lindsay bring Born Slippy to the Slipway at Titanic to bring Saturday night's Biggest Weekend coverage to a pulsating close. Underworld ruled the airwaves and dance floors at the height of the dance music boom of the mid-90s, providing the soundtrack moment of the iconic youth culture film Trainspotting. Credited with being among the first techno acts to fill stadiums, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith's live sets are legendary for their energy and connection with festival crowds. They are also showing Orbital on friday . |

"Underworld & special guests to be revealed." Special guests, eh? Bit cryptic. I think it just means opening acts, though. |
Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info

Being from just up the road I've got all defensive. The Warehouse Parties are usually very good nights. They can get a bit mobbed but that's just a consequence of their success. I can't make this show, btw. Gutted. |

Underworld have today announced a series of very special club shows in November and December. These gigs promise to be the most intimate the band have played since the early ‘90s. Their last London headline gig at the 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace sold out five months in advance.
At these new shows, Underworld will be experimenting with a mix of brand-new material, classic tracks and little heard gems from their deep archive: “In 2017 we reconnected with a personal joy of performing in small venues when Karl & I took our show to the Zepp club in Osaka prior to headlining Ultra festival in Tokyo. The whole experience was so deeply inspiring we just had to do it again.” Rick Smith 27th November Amsterdam, Temp (with DGTL) 7pm – 11pm TBC 28th November Amsterdam, Temp (with DGTL) 7pm – 11pm TBC 30th November London, Village Underground (with Bugged Out) 9pm – 4am 1st December London, Village Underground (with Bugged Out) 9pm – 4am 2nd December London, Village Underground (with Bugged Out) 7.30pm – 11.30pm A ticket pre-sale for both the Amsterdam and London shows will be available from 9am GMT / 10am CET on November 5th, exclusively to those who sign up here. Remaining tickets will be available via general sale at 9am GMT / 10am CET on November 7th. |
Re: World of Underworld
Soooo exciting. Feels like a return of sorts to the Underworld of the 90s, and hopefully live shows of a similar nature.

Re: Drift Ep 1 - Another Silent Way (new single)
FYI, I'm not sure if the old mailing list has been carried over (they're using a new mailing list provider). If you didn't get an e-mail about Drift a couple hours ago, then I think that means you need to sign up for the new list.
https://www.underworldlive.com/signup Remember, only the new mailing list gets first notifications on new Drift postings, as well as the presale access on Nov. 5 for the gigs. Village Underground is less than 1000 capacity. It took me a long time to find anything about Temp. because it doesn't even exist yet! It'll open on Nov. 23 at Burgerweeshuispad 100, and will only be there for 6 months. Sounds like it'll be similarly tiny. http://temp-amsterdam.nl/ |
Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
So the venue in Amsterdam, Temp, is an actual temporary venue. Pretty cool. Place is TINY.

Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
A 9pm-4am show is seven damn hours. That can't really be the case, can it? Underworld performing live for seven hours? I would love some more specifics on this. I'm considering traveling from the US!
|
Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
I'm sure it just means that's the full event's time, with opening and closing acts. I would expect UW to be on for 2 hours. 3 hours is a possibility, but they haven't played a 3 hour show in a really long time. For those nights, that means Underworld would probably be on from, like, 12-2.

Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
£38.50 for a ticket in London?
I mean, I'm all for seeing them in a club environment after so many years, but for that price I want some guarantee it's not just going to be Rick & Karl doing some album playback like all their gigs have turned into now. I'd only consider it if we were going to get a genuinely crafted set full of spontaneity and reworking of tunes on the fly. Sadly, I haven't seen that happen for years. |

Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
Temp failed their safety inspection. Shows have been moved to the Marktkantine (Jan van Galenstraat 6).
|
Re: Underworld Live 2018 Tour Info
De Marktkantine has about 1200 capacity. Probably more than they sold for Temp. Wonder if they'll sell tickets at the door? Plus, there'll be people who don't make it because of the venue change.
