Obama wins Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada

McCain wins North Carolina, Missouri, Indiana

538.com is the bizness. I'll say 349 to 189 Obama.

In Arizona, the last series of polls show Obama fairly close to make it interesting. I helped with a 'GOtV' phone calling yesterday. According to the lady who was dropping off new call sheets, the AZ Democratic Party had a goal of calling 130,000 people between Saturday and today. On Saturday alone, 180,000 calls were made.

My grandma and step-mom are still registered Republicans, but voting for Obama tell me they only get robo-calls, no live person has called them about voting in the past 10 days.

I'm hoping for an electoral college result along the lines of Obama: 538, McCain: 0. Anything less would be unacceptable.

Seriously though, let's hope it's an electoral, as well as a clear popular win. The last thing we need is for the country to be able to justify continued divisions resulting from a super-tight race like we've had in recent elections.

it's surprising how hard mccain put a push on the TV ads over the weekend here. if mccain is having to push that hard in georgia days before the election, you know he's worried.

I realized recently that a larger percentage of eligible americans vote than united kingdom citizens do. Losers!

It took me 2 hours to vote. This is my first time voting, so I don't know if this is longer than usual. I seem to be getting the vibe that it is.

Well, a lot of people did vote early and with absentee ballots. Also, most people are working during the day.

There'll probably be an upswing after work at the end of the day. I know that's when I'll be going. But in a meeting I had this morning with 6 other people, I think three voted early. So maybe a big chunk has already voted.

Aside from that, I saw a polling place just down the street from work that had a pretty long line, and as the polls opened by my house there was a long line too. The line was gone a couple hours later though. We'll see, but I sure hope everyone's voting.


EDIT - Okay, here we go. The L.A. Times is reporting voters already turning out in record numbers. By noon, 38.1% of L.A. County registered voters had already cast their ballots compared to 33.4% in 2004. That doesn't sound huge, but considering that there are 4.3 million registered voters here, that means an extra 202,100 people.

I waited 0 seconds to vote. I guess I got there at the right time as night time voting tends to take awhile.

Looks like Obama is gonna win by even more than projected. I'm glad too, but at the same time I can't see how he could LOSE this election either. Way to go America!!

It took me 20 minutes to vote today. I spent the rest of my day taking folks who didn't have transportation to the polls. And making snacks for people standing in line. And guess what, it was worth every minute of it.

I am happy to say that Colorado is now a BLUE state. This is amazing considering groups like Focus on the Family & New Life Church are headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO (Where I live.)

I was worried about Colorado, but I must say that the Voters here kicked some ass.
