your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
Bruce Lee (Dobropet) for 3 hours.
Or maybe the slow Rez intro for 3 hours that never picks up. What a tease that would be. |
Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
maybe Laidback Luke on support playing his UW RR remix ;)

Drives me up the bloody wall that choon. No rational reason for it. I just don't like it. |
Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
well.. not setlists per sé
but just the whole concert thing missing dirty meets missing trains missing boats missing a chance to meet R&K due to trafficjams etc. not even nightmares... |

It's embarrassing, but I kinda like Underneath the Radar. Not the album, the song :)
A few of those old Underworld songs might actually work live if they tinkered with them a bit. |
Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
a large part of underneath the radar is actually pretty enjoyable.

http://uwlive.rowla.com/songs/listSongs There is a recording of Underworld Mk1 doing "M.E." live in 1991. According to the list, that was only time that song has ever been played in concert. But how awesome would it be to hear 'Doot Doot' live now? They should also bring back the hairstyles and costumes. Now THAT would be a show. But I think we all agree, even the worst Underworld setlist is better than no Underworld setlist. 'Puppies' live might just blow your mind. |
Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
they've recycled bits of their old material live.
listen to the track after "thing in a book" on the 1994 sheffield octagon bootleg....5p for anyone who knows where it's from! |

Trim
Barrel of a Gun (Underworld Hard Mix) Born Slippy .Telematic Dark Hard Shudder The Hump Ballet Lane Dirty (I'm sorry... I just find it a bit boring without lyrics) |
Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
I was going to say Born Slippy .Telematic, too, but I went back and listened to it, and it doesn't sound like it would fare particularly bad live. Doesn't mean I like the recorded version, though..
I know all the words to Trim, mua ha :D |

Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
the peel session of trim is miles better than the lp version. and telematic is brilliant.

Re: your worst nightmare UW setlist?!
The b-sides from the AHDO sessions would all fall flat in a live scenario. Even the album material never did much for me, excepting Mo Move and Luetin, which are amazing.
Took me awhile to get into Puppyies, but I'm hugely devoted to all the stuff on the Pearl's Girl EP now. It's fabulous and I'd kill to hear it at a show, especially Oich Oich and Deep Arch. |
