If you do a Google search for TRCP-18, you'll find numerous places have "Boy, Boy, Boy" listed as the next single for release on 11/14/07.

as for boy, boy, boy being the next single, i'm skeptical. matt reminded me that twist was listed on some japanese sites in 02 as being a single but never came out. apparently, Simian Mobile Disco have done a mix of Ring Road and Beautiful Burnout already has a remix floating around. they could release diff. songs in diff. countries but who knows. boy, boy, boy does sort of make sense with Larry Mullen Jr. in the credits (and U2's name on the sticker on front), and it is a very dynamic/unique song from Underworld. radio friendly etc. i'd rather see beautiful burnout and glam bucket as singles but that's just being greedy.

Yeah, I saw that, but wanted to post it in a separate thread here, since people were still holding out hope for Holding the Moth, and also the listing started showing up on a lot more sites.

yeah, it's a good idea since it wasn't really posted here and i don't think many (enough) people visit Lloyd's blog.

i do find myself singing "boy boy boy boy, wraps his arms around a skinny thing..." quite a bit.

that's the worst part of this track, imo.. it's dreadfully flat and forced - the only track on the album i consistently skip over - but damn if it ain't catchy.

One of the best tracks on the cd...can't wait for the various mixes but mainly some tasty B-sides.:)

Here's to hoping it's like the classic singles (packed full of value...sometimes more like an EP) than the standard single fare of late.

god i cant stand this one. bombastic empty calories that inspire nothing and falls flat on its face. starts boring, ends over-inflated, i cant find anything redeeming in this track at all anymore, it's just terrible.

I think this a a great track and is an appropriate second single.

The track has really grown on me. I love the vocal harmonies in particular

not sure why people are surprised and / or bothered - what does it matter that its a single... its got a remix - which is good, and a remix of faxed invitation... also good - more UW material in the open

its not gonna dent the charts specifically, its just another Underworld record that most people (here) will buy in some format - i like ring road, but tbh it would make no difference if it didn't get released as a single because its on the album...

although i want to hear the SMD version of it... :D

pretty wild for the switch remix..


also, that is just a very cool site with
a lot of extras, videos, pics, etc, etc..
works well with the typography, and
japanese characters....why can't we

Did anyone else notice that Peach Tree on the BBB single is different from the one on the UK Croc single? The beat comes in one minute earlier on the BBB single, and the last three minutes also differ slightly. And throughout the track, I think the beat is crisper on the BBB version, but that could be me. Track length is the same, approximately 12:36

I sat down and listened to both Peach Tree's now that I have them, and that's very interesting. The Croc Peach Tree seems to be the same mix as the RiverRun download version. The BBB Peach Tree, though, seems to have been redone. Very interesting.

but the other tracks are a waste..
holding the moth is bruce lee part 2..

and the switch mix of boy boy boy is
possibly the worst remix EVER made
of an underworld track (including that
weird bruce lee(dobropet) mix)...

Holding The Moth is the new Bruce Lee? Hmmm...more like the new Cups, in my opinion. Wither way, i dig both those Beaucoup tracks, as well as HtM, so no worries! Or did you just mean the Jess Rose remix? i thought it was okay, just a bit more dancey than the lp version.


Yeah, not sure about "Peach Tree" being effectively a B-Side on this single. Chances are the folks who buy the BBB single already have RR, and the differences are subtle. Seems a little bit like recycling. Why not stick Pearl's Girl on there?:p

Nooo, Ring Road is the new Bruce Lee. Holding the Moth is the new Cups. Both are improvements in my opinion.

I always liked that dobropet mix of Bruce Lee, it had that really weird hard en dark sound where you wondered can I dance to this? Or should I just listen :rolleyes:
