Pukkelpop 07
Anyone going? Anyone been before?
I'm tempted to go because I'll be cycling around Belgium at the time anyway for a couple of weeks to meet up with some friends. There are a few things on the line-up I would like to see... Trentemoller for starters, Apparat, Matthew Dear, Booka Shade, Low (who I previously saw in a dingy pub in Dundee), Riton. Oh, and Jazzy Jeff obviously. What's it like there? |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
Went last year. Too many good things to mention. Same for this time. Maybe back there...

Re: Pukkelpop 07
lineup looks good
(again much better than lowlands, esp in the electronic music deparment) |

About Trentemoller though, I heard he stopped doing his dj/live shows and is going to perform with a band now  |

lowlands has like, 4 electronic music acts, and they're all at pukkelpop too. |

Very true that. But I also happen to find a lot of the non electronic bands going to Lowlands very appealing for me.... NIN, TooL, Interpol, Sonic Youth, Kasabian, Arcade Fire..... etc etc I guess it's a matter of global preferences. If I was all for the electronic music I'd surely go to Pukkelpop instead. Although that'd mean camping and whatnot (not very sure about the festival's location though).. |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
you'll be camping at lowlands too I assume?
But fair enough about the other bands if you want to see them. For me, they don't really interest me as much as the pukkelpop lineup. |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
Not at all, no....
It's 1 hour 40 mins by train from The Hague. make it 2 hours till the festival area.... A pain in the ass but much better than camping, imo. The line up is worth it (for me!). :). |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
San isnt camping? HAHAHAHAHAH. lightweight.
Go to pukkelpop and camp! |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
yes but
NO MONEY LEFT LOL. After Summercase and Lowlands festivals budget's been emptied. I used to camp at festivals.... when I was younger. Or should I simply say "young".... 4 hours of train a day for my own shower and bed.... deal! :P Are you making any of them, Esteban? |

I would seriously stronly not recommend doing that. if you go by train you still have to get the bus from the trainstation to the festival terrain. That's another 20 mins to half hour for you there (depending on how long you have to wait for the bus). And from there it's probably another 20 minutes walking to the festival itself. get a tent and camp you pussy! (btw motor caravan is good too, although at lowlands this means you're on the camp site that is furthest away from the festival terrain) |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
Been there done that. living in the suburbs of Madrid makes one get used to afterparty trip naps on the bus back home....
I'd like to see you heavyweight camper trying to get some sleep inside a tent with +30 Cº and 100% humidity in Benicassim.... :P You're still on time to Lowlands! TRAIN CAMPING FTW. |
Re: Pukkelpop 07
seems they've added a bit more dance/electronic stuff to their lineup:
