dirty project :: sketch fly

hello I am yannick, some call me The yannick...
others that drunk fucked up dude in that corner trying to do things to us
falling on the floor and thinking that this water is really rum and coke...

anyway

new project.. that involve...

creating art... writings words.. finishing others lines...not those lines...
that we don't share. but will share this

it will involve the shipping of sketch book.. from dirty to dirty...

if your up to it let me know...

I want the outsider head to be back into out head and share out heads
with the others heads peeking into our head for more

it will be a travelling mail carnage...
so let's ban tom... unless he wants to put lipstick on his dick and make
a kiss on the front cover for luck.

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

great :)

it's not limited to writing, you can make a collage in it stamp stuff
but I don't want it to go all over the place with randomness

the words would be an answer to a dilemma
the dilemma can hinted/supported in any form other than words but it is not required

once one is done with his part, he will be shipping it to one of the name in the package. the person receiving it will then have to continue the conversation and push it to new direction. there's no limit on how many page you can use

you will have 1 week once you receive the package to do your part and ship it to the next person

once the book is done it will be shipped back to me and scanned into an e-book and shared on dirty.

once scanned the book that travelled around would be given away to one of the collaborator.

i'd like those really serious about it to email me your mailing address -> yannick@dirty.org, and blood type information.

thanks

So you just have to write something poetic or anything?

Yannick 11-17-2006 06:54 AM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

The book in is the Mail...

Direction -> Vancouver, Canada.

you get to decide where you send it next... the names and address are on the last page
..

note: I kinda bended my own idea... with the theme... feel free to do the same and rebel :)

I'm IN. Some years ago, within the old dirty, we made something similar sharing music compilations, most of them were incredible, so did the art.

The eagle has landed, but I have to go to the post office to pick it up, which is a little tricky around my work schedule. I'll pick it up ASAP. (won't fit in my mail box)

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

This is a really cool idea.

However I am a little bit iffy about the whole names and addresses in the back of the book. Wouldn't it be simpler just to have usernames and cities in the list, and then whoever has it ask the next person they choose for their details?

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

i'm down. can someone let me know who to send my addy to?

EDIT: and what are the dimensions of the book?

adam 11-22-2006 09:42 AM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

Yan, do you want me to add additional addresses for new would-be participants, or what?

chino 11-22-2006 04:42 PM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

I did send my info to YAN via email. WIll I be confirmed, or what's the next step? Did I sound anxious? :D

Yannick 11-22-2006 05:47 PM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

about new addresses please email them to me, I will manage
them, there's already 10 name with the book that has shipped,

about you private information, if you want them to stay off the eyes of anyeone working on the book please advise me personally about it, I like the idea of having just a list of name and city, I tried to keep it as simple as possible by leaving all the current participant name included.

I can send adam a new updated list to insert on the back.

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

the sketch book is now off to england, #4 on the list now.

at the speed this is going, i'm tempted to send a new book every 2 month...thinking about it....

myrrh 02-02-2007 04:13 AM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

I figured it would go down like this. Also, does it end with the people that sent you the email before it left your hands, or does it get to go to everyone who chimed in since? I don't mean to sound like a bastard by that, but if you keep adding people to the list then it is going to go the way of the dirty box and never come to a close, nor ever make it to most of the people on the list.

By the time it makes it to Africa, I may be in another continent.

Yannick 02-02-2007 07:23 AM

Re: dirty project :: sketch fly

at the moment there's 10 name with the current book, I have all the other names here with me, i'm monitoring the progress of the first one and will adjust as things progress, so you may still be on the list for the first book, or placed on the list for the 2nd one. I haven't made a decision about that yet.
