Nerd Alert!!! / Lightscribe discs

Just tidying up my music files and sorting out a complete set of all the Riverrun Remixes and just noticed that although the "Peggy Sussed" (Main Final Mix) is the Pete Heller Vocal Mix the Main Final Mix is actually 15 seconds longer than the Vocal Mix that got offically released!

And (now here's the NERD bit) after having a look at the wave forms I've found the extra 15 seconds are in the first breakdown. The Main Final Mix takes longer to build back up before the drums kick in than the Vocal Mix.

Big Screen (Matt) you might wanna check that on your CD.

:D

interesting - i'd not even noticed the track lengths

its basically a fifteen second extra loop at the start...

nothing major...but quite nerdy yes

It's good to be a nerd... it shows you really care about something.

No that's called a hippy.

how easy are those burners to work? I've been considering buying one... but don't want to bother if it's a hassel.

also - do you just do the images through photoshop? or does it come with its specific software? (and does it work on Macs)

and - how are people organizing the remixes on cd-r's? I just ask b/c there are too many of them to fit onto one disc

Ohhh, I strongly disagree. I admit there's a little hippy in me but that has nothing to do with my passions in life. Those things that I'm into, I'm really into and know a lot about. Sometimes it's to the extent that friends and others call me a nerd, and I accept and embrace it. Unless you're Eric Cartman, I don't think it's appropriate to call me or that other nerd a hippy. :)

Back to the subject at hand, i gotta hear these mixes. What happened to the days of UW remixing their own tracks and creating sweet new songs and mixes from the results?

You have to buy special lightscribe/labelflash discs. to burn on them you flip them over and it burns the other side. for macs i think they can use SmileOnMyMac software.

as for the mixes, can someone come up with a good varied tracklist of how to fit these best onto CDs with tracktimes....?
