Re: launch initial sales in Japan

odd - No lenne penne 12" remix then...

mmm

still i'll be getting these no matter what:

"Underworld launch initial sales of five River Run Project Remix

These 12"s have a limit to the number of 10,000 sets in the world.
And these jacket are made by John Warwicker at Tomato."

whether that means in 'the world' or in the world (i.e. all concentrated in Japan)

seems a small amount...

There's a link right down the bottom to convert it all into English. It doesn't work for the underworld page itself, but the whole check-out process and everything else will be in english.. you've just got to click the yellowish buttons for each release to add it into your cart. :)

Underworld release five 12" at the same time!!
Jul. 24 2006 (Mon.)

Underworld release five 12" at the same time, those are remix of only downloaded [RiverRun Project].

These 12"s have a limit to the number of 10,000 sets in the world. (I think 10,000 sets are world wide total amount, then releae amount in Japan is more less than 10,000.) Only in Japan, five 12" release at the same time and very earlier than world wide release.

[RiverRun Project] is a new stile material ,released from Underworld official site download only.'05 Oct.「Lovely Broken Thing」, Nov.「Pizza For Eggs」、'06Jun.「I'm a Big Sister, and I'm a Girl, and I'm a Princess, and This Is My Horse」,these title release with some material、they bring a breath of fresh air and attract tremendous interest to music industry.

Every remixer chosed most interested part of 25 min. [RiverRun Project], they arranged Underworld's sound inimitably and one by one.

And Underworl's arrenged material is included without Play Pig (2)].

These jacket are made by John Warwicker, Tomato's member.

These 12" are interested in not only Underworld's fan, these are rimited release, so maybe you should make reservation early.

Too bad no love for Back in the Fears and Food a Ready.....Play Pig and Vanilla Monkey are kinda like b-sides or something IMO.

Re: launch initial sales in Japan

So Buick Project remixed Play Pig as well as Vanilla Monkey?

May have to order these even though they're from Japan.

They'll be a great birthday present for myself. :)

Um, did anyone else notice that the HMV listings say that the records are from the USA?

"Item sourced from: USA"
"New Limited Edition 12in (USA Import)"

interesting that hadn't noticed....

but on second inspection the remixes of Vanilla Monkey on the Buick Project Production CD i have are infact listed incorrecty and if you listen to the lyrics closely they are in fact Play Pig - so they never remixed VM in the first place... as far as i can tell... they just listed it wrong

I'm so confused. Are we going to be able to purchase these here in the states? Why does Japan get all the "cool" stuff? I mean why why why? :D

Well my wife has just ordered me all 5 12s for my birthday (sept 7th) so with the release date of 26thaug and the postage time they should get here just before it!!! Yay!

Re: Buick Project: Good ears Matt, i was about to listen to them today again and i reckon i still wouldnt have realised. LOL

one more reason to prefer vinyl..
(or at least to me)

i always preferred the artwork on
a bigger format..

although you really can't match the
booklets for the cd's for dubnobasswithmyheadman,
or second toughest in the infants..

It seems that 1300yen is about £6 or €8.80 which aint bad at all. plus postage of course. i'd love to have all these on 1 or 2 CDs tho. According to the help pages, the postage should be about 2400 yen so it would be about 60euros to get all 5 of them delivered here... 12 euros each, not too bad.

I really doubt if you're going to find these records in shops in the US... I'm just going to buy the imports, just to be safe.

I doubt I'm going to see them on turntablelab's webstore, or find all five at like a Virgin Mega store

mmm. i'd like the vanilla monkey one.

not only because i'd love to have a copy of that track by itself, but i also like those remixing it for once.

UK dirts these 12" are coming out in the UK if you are thinking of ordering them from abroad i'd hold back...September 18th 2006 is the scheduled release date

so any euro dirts wanting these it would surely be cheaper to order from the UK than Japan....

well in fact - i was wrong and the price listed on the HMV site for pre order of Jal To Tokyo is £3.99, the first UK 12" issue comes out on September 4th 2006...

Re: launch initial sales in Japan

Just FYI, for me, it cost about $75 US delivered to order all 5 vinyl from hmv.co.uk (assuming it costs the same as ordering 5 copies of JAL to Tokyo, the only one on the UK site so far).

To order all 5 from hmv.co.jp, it cost about $65 US delivered.

These promo CDs on ebay are well expensive. I hope theres some CD release of these tracks, and not spread over 5 CDs either!

I mean, if lossless CD versions are available in promo, why would it be that only 192kbps mp3 downloads or vinyl be available to ordinary punters? I sincerely hope that this is not the case.

I sincerely agree, Stimpee. There seems to be a technology gap with these releases.
Vinyl --> __:confused:__ --> MP3

vinyl --> pre-amp/amp --> soundcard!! --> aif/mp3... what have you.

vinyl's better than cd anyhow ;-) ;-)
