Re: collectors' corner

recent arrivals include

STITI - Tshirt - Navy blue with small font on front and graphics and number 10 on back

Born Slippy - Spacelab Remix 12" one sided bootleg, pointless but ok, well monotainous

The Riverrun Series - MP3 CD - which ended up only as £9, and appears, despite the scepticism of some people, to be pretty genuine, with a full printed CD , rather than hand written - so i am certain its official (btw - RRP 3 is encoded at 160kbps on this)

anything else i'll let you know... :)

Got a green Born Slippy shirt in the mail today... and it has number 9 on it's back. :) I've also seen the STITI shirt, but L is too small for me... :( currently there are more of those shirts on ebay!

Does anyone have some more information about shirts or pullovers? I've seen not much about those kind of items.

If you're not really chubby, I reckon you might fit one of these. I'm 196 centimetres and it fits me okay (even if I'm a bit chubby myself :D ).

I wonder if fans of the Underworld movies (Underworld Evolution, etc) get as sick of running across Underworld (the band) merchandise when searching as we do running across the movie stuff? :)

buzzelvis: nice of you to be thinking of fellow dirts like this but there is a thread for this already called Collectors Corner which is the most popular thread on the whole forum with over 500 replies and more than 15,500 views. The t-shirts have already been under discussion there for quite a while now. Nevertheless, i'll leave this thread here for a day before merging it. ;) I'm that nice.

that shirt rocks so much! i want one soooo badly.

i LOVE the artwork from this era too

Re: official second toughest t-shirts on ebay

if they had one in a medium I'd buy it. I'm a pretty tall guy, but those "large shirts" are still usually way too big for me.
I have a STITI artwork shirt already though but it's different from this one. (not as nice)

[COLOR=Purple]your's a beauty Selector :), and it seems to be from the same time as mine:)
there's nothing on the back of my shirt, 98 could be right i guess, i bought it in a musicstore maybe in 1999, it was torn at the shoulder (ow, sounds like Cohen :D, but it really was) so i got it for a few bucks.

i picked up quite a few numbered t's back in the day... and i searched my bedroom just now and photo'd them. i recokon the numbers go up to at least 26 and if all numbers were released i have quite a few gaps!

have a look at my collection here: http://www.effingood.com/t :)

i've shown the later ones that i have too - deffo didnt buy the more recent ones e.g. "i need sugar" somerset house and a sky blue 2 months off design. i also photo'd a design i did to wear at the somerset house gigs.

can anyone help complete the picture by figuring out which ones are missing? it'd be great if u could post a pic so i can complete this page.

i know i saw a pink begging for it t-shirt at some point which may well've been a different number. anyone got one?

mark3 06-14-2006 01:16 AM

Re: collectors' corner

Wow, nice collection. I have never seen the Dubno shirt...it's amazing. Number three is also very cool.

Number four is the 'Playgirl' t-shirt. I don't have a camera, but I will send you a partial scan.
I have some of those you already posted, but also many unnumbered shirts. You want some pics of those too?

Re: collectors' corner

oohh wowowow i need some of those too....!!1

i'll check my collection - see what i have that might help fill in some gaps...

i have about 20 or so t-shirts...

*goes and checks...*

big screen satellite 06-14-2006 02:13 AM

Re: collectors' corner

so, what i have, in no particuilar order, in terms of apparel:

1 x Underworld (AHDO era) Beanie Hat
1 x Underworld (Mark I) Black Waistcoat
1 x Underworld Jacket with NUXX logo on bottom
2 x Underworld AHDO Tshirt - with text print on the side not bottom
1 x Underworld - I need Sugar T-shirt
1 x Underworld - Live 'Mosaic' T-shirt 11,00 on back
1 x Underworld - STITI #19 T-shirt
1 x Underworld - #5 T-shirt
1 x Underworld - Transfer set + T-shirt
1 x Underworld - STITI #8 T-shirt
1 x Underworld - Dark & Long #2 T-shirt
1 x Underworld - Back to Mine T-shirt
1 x Underworld - Bootleg AHDO Tour T-shirt - not official
1 x Underworld - Beacoup Fish T-shirt 03,99 on back
1 x Underworld - 1997 Record Bag
1 x Underworld - Beaucoup Fish Courier Bag
1 x Underworld - Everything Everything T-shirt - with JBO Logo on back
1 x Underworld (Mark I) 'Stars' T-shirt
1 x Underworld (Mark I) 'Underneath the Radar' T-shirt
1 x Underworld Two Months off Pale blue T-shirt
1 x Freur Get Us Out of here T-shirt
1 x Underworld Adidas Trainers
1 x Underworld Begging for it (Grey) #10 T-shirt
1 x Underworld Begging for it (skinny pink) #? T-shirt (this has yet to arrive)

so i can't really add anything to your numbers list unless the pink T-shirt has a different number on the back when it arrives!!

but there are a few later variations, i suppose...

(i'll post some pics if necessary later)

it'd be intersesting to see if anyone can fill in the gaps...

i never realised this numbering significance before, and its very Factory Records like... at least it'll help me keep track of what i do and don't have...

and now i know i have some more to try and locate....

wow... I have never realised how many shirts there are... i probably was too busy buying CDs.
So where do they usually sell shirts (besides ebay)? On concerts?
And did they sell shirts on the 2005 tour?

damn... they def used to make really cool shirts

I mean - when I saw them back on the AHDO tour, they only had like two or three different shirts. I got the black one w/ type along the side, and my g/f got the AHDO cover one... which really isn't original is it?

I blame the slackers at Tomato ;)

Re: collectors' corner

My AHDO black shirt fits funny, I was very dissapointed. Its a large but its cut like an XL with less length. So that equals skinny me looking like I'm missing my belly.
Annywayyy, I hope the next tour offers proper fitting tees and neat new designs, as I felt a bit let down last time as well.

I went to six dates on the 2005 tour and there weren't any on sale. At Electraglide they had some Lovely Broken Thing shirts in dark grey and in beige. Here are the pics of the grey: one two three

That looks lovely, indeed! Simple but effective design.

Ah, that "Begging For It" shirt, made famous by Karl himself.

Love these older designs (dubno/STITI period) with the big, layered text. Cool how they're numbered and sometimes were promos with dates of the show. Only criticism is that often "underworld" is lost in the mix or verrry small. Though maybe that's part of the charm: you get to explain to someone about your cool shirt as well as the band/graphic design team responsible.
