Kittens rocks. I'm just glad it made it to the top 3. I love Cups though and Jumbo. But probably in that order so I dunno...let see. Not voting yet. Vote for Cups or Jumbo!

i love Jumbo, but, for me, the three last minutes of Kittens are like a miracle and Cups is one of the best song ever... so, Jumbo now, then Kittens and Cups wins...

If it ends up Cups versus Jumbo, that's gonna be tough, since both capture various themes of Underworld so well: "Cups" as a sort of claustrophobic modernity and "Jumbo" of relationships and awe. Plus, the music of both is so dreamy. But "Cups" will get my vote for taking all that smoothness and underlying vocal tension and resolving it with the final 3-4 minutes of dancefloor madness! When i first heard the album, the part where "Cups" kicks into synthy goodness made me gasp! Then, the stop-time and restart near the end....oh boy! Kittens is fun for the rumbling beat, but when the cat-on-the-keyboard highpitched pads come in, i lose interest...it goes nowhere.

"Jumbo" is much too cheesy-happy and boring to be in the top 5 of this album... Fortunately, I'm almost certain that "Cups" will win in the end.

its gonna be intersting to see how the vote goes now if Jumbo stays to the final, because in my poll of people's favourite tracks, Jumbo was voted 4th most popular UW track of all, and Cups was 9th...

especially as KOS was 12th compared to Kittens 20th place....

its weird i suppose with people voting for songs they dislike most as opposed to ones they do like, perhaps more people hate KOS than those who love Kittens...especially when up against other tracks...

anyway if you want the comparissions, this thread again, the 2005 poll results...

yeah me too. And it appears although 31 people love Kittens enough not to vote for it, the vote is split and so the 27 people who voted for it (shame on you) will be enough to force it out :(

I don't know what all the fuss is about with Cups!? It doesn't sound finished! Kittens is in the Top Five Underworld tracks of all time for me.
I only now hope that Jumbo tramples Cups on the ground!!! :mad:

Whatever song 'wins' has no bearing on which track is most liked by us, remember. The surviving track is the least-hated track and should be analyzed thusly.

Cups is more 'accessible', mellow and easy-going than Kittens. If the poll were "Cups vs. Kittens: vote for the better track" I'm pretty sure Kittens would win in a landslide ;)


Oh, since we're talking about Cups... anyone else think today's uwlive post captures that 'Cups feel' pretty well?
