Art prints, I believe. I think they're limited to a small number. The coffee cups are also unique art pieces, limited to 10 pieces total, signed by Karl on the bottom.

They usually drop them to get exposure over a weekend, so my best guess at this point would be Thu. or Fri.

Curious how everyone else is feeling, but I'm dreading the prospect of 'Drops' for the upcoming new music releases.

They were a nice in between filler these past couple years and a great way to celebrate/refresh classic tracks to give them their due. They were merch focused rather than music focused, but they all had the cultural weight to support that (and I'm always glad to get a few more tracks from the archives).

Merch has become a big focus of modern music releases, but it feels weird for a single track that doesn't have much stature yet, like it's trying to force it. If we're lucky, we might get 4 drops this year, which would leave us with... a short EP worth of music and a mountain of questionable merch.

I get that I'm spoiled from Drift Series 1 which was totally music focused and an overload of content, but after that huge celebration of music, something seems really out of touch here if this is the way it's going (and that could equally mean me). :(

Well... looks like the drop is live now, but haven't seen an email for it yet. Some single art pieces are already sold out and find it interesting that the product shot of the vinyl itself lists 2 tracks on side A (original and Club Mix), but the product description and back cover only list Club Mix. It's a really pretty vinyl, but also pretty expensive for one track.

Yeah, that sucks that they just did a social media announcement, and no email.

Anyway, the vinyl is limited to 1000 copies also, so don't sleep on ordering it, if you're interested. The last time Underworld had a 500 copy vinyl, it sold out in less than 48 hours, I think.

I doubt they will have this merch with them in SF. The shirts on the Colour Red drop all say "This is a pre-order item and expected to ship from 5th May 2023."

I am hoping that they will have any merch at the SF show since it's a one-off and not really a big tour.

Ridiculous to pay so much for 1 track LP (2 if we are lucky) but what can I do - I see Underworld vinyl release I need to get it lol

got my 12 inch order in.

i should have asked if anyone else wanted one.

i get monthly shipments from UK, so the price for shipping is pretty much UK cost + 1 or 2 dollars
to the US. (not including taxes)

Yeah, finally got for it an email too - was surprised how late it was, but glad they included a link to new video for it.

Hope this drop is more of a single before a bigger release - it's cool, but could get tedious.

Yeah, it would be great if we could get something going where we pool orders to the US, as the shipping costs are getting crazy... $50 US for a 1 (or 2) song 12" is really stretching my limits of fandom here. :)

i've ordered the other ones separately in the past, just because it was that,
or ebay, discogs, and you would have to wait.

and the fact that its 1 track colored vinyl, i guess is what made me
consider the bulk shipping.

lets see if they do more this way, and consider options.

I guess like most people we would love new music rather that merch-driven drops, but in the absence of new music (album) I do like the drops. It's a bit pricey (especially the vinyl) but none of us are compelled to buy.


They've always done things a little differently. I'm just still soooo happy we're getting new music from the guys and that I can turn up to an Underwiorld gig and unexpectedly hear a bunch of new music. And to top it off, all the new stuff has sounded fantastic to me.

Every single item in the drop is showing as Sold Out. I wonder if that's because it was time-limited to 24 hours??

30 quid (inc postage) for a single track does seem like an exercise in seeing what we'll put up with. Even the 'full length' video fades out early!

Well, the limited art items sold out immediately, but the other items that didn't have limited quantity limits were still readily available. They all went "Sold Out" together almost exactly 24 hours after it launched, so I guess it was super-time-limited, unless they made a mistake on the timing. It doesn't seem so though, since they haven't restored anything.

I guess it was super-time-limited. Just before 5PM CET there were multiple items available (the vinyl and some shirts). Just after 5PM all items were marked as sold out.
It was a pity for me, because before I could finish the process of buying a shirt and the vinyl, they were sold out :(

Are we getting bjork’d here?
On the other hand I like to encourage bands to make whatever kind of merch they want and if it’s too rich for my blood then I can just leave it. I remember days when we were starved enough for it that dirts made their own.

The final vinyl is a bit like the pictures on the website. The A-side just has Club Mix (not two tracks as the picture shows) and the B-side just has underworld written on it (but with no grooves as shown on the website). I think the Club Mix is the version we have been getting at the gigs...but finer tuned ears may be able to spot some differences.

I still don't have my vinyl copy, but the single version (5:42) is pretty much the same as what they've been playing live.

Someone on Discogs timed their copy, and the Club Mix is 7:05, so there is definitely a difference.

just to clarify (since i didn't show it). the full version does not fade out.
i was referring to the shorter ones.

its just a breakdown of the beats. and a few whispered words.
and then its just a normal cold ending. (kind of what moaner did).
