UPLOADED! - NEW UPGRADE - 2017-10-20 Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam AUDIO and VIDEO
So the final new fixed remaster is now up and running on the RTSR tracker.
NEW FIXED FINAL REMASTERS (2 Versions) This torrent now includes a REVERB VERSION - we used a reverb plugin to create more ambiance and make the show sound more stereo than the original mono stream. You can download either the MONO or REVERB versions or both. It's up to you. That's also the reason the file is bigger now. Maybe just grab one track from the reverb version and see if you like it. I have fixed, repaired or patched all of the dropouts. The only one we can't do anything about is the missing 3 mins from the end of King Of Snake and the beginning of Jumbo as that was a feed transmission loss of the stream. Wow, OK. I was going to post the video last night, guess I'm glad I didn't. I'll have to see if I can splice this in without having to re-encode. Stereo sound too. Release the whole show!

the only thing is that sector boundaries will change if the length of tracks changes.
I'll hang on for a little bit and see if we can get Jumbo too so we can fix both tracks and then it might just be updates for every track from KOS on wards. |

Just rendered the video to DVD, and even with the few glitches and Jumbo drop out, it holds up pretty well in image resolution and sound on a big screen TV. Not perfect, but certainly not the worst live concert video I've seen.... Hoping for a pro release, but still, really enjoyed this show. Thanks for fixing as best you could and sharing. |

Its just a pain in the ass...lol.
So update: I've got Bill's new master for the whole show and I'm going to put that up on the tracker soon. We've pieced together our original reverb version of the full show with the new stereo hour video highlights. We've gone over the original reverb version too and remastered that to better fit in with the new video audio. I will also put up the remaster audio of the hour long video too if people just want the new video audio. I'll work on the complete set video this weekend with our new full audio. |

a new upgrade audio of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam 2017 show is up on the tracker now. We've used our old REVERB version from last year and edited it with the new audio from the new HD stereo video broadcast of the hour highlights that just came out and remastered the whole thing to match sound levels. Sorry have had to do a fix for this show as we made an error in patching the missing section from the end of Jumbo (we mixed out Karl saying a thank you and I noticed it when trying to put the new audio onto the video) so we redid the patch and that meant we had to redo the last three tracks of the show. (The last two are just new track mark positions as the new patch at end of Jumbo was a little longer).
The new version is up on the RSTR tracker but if you have already downloaded the show then all you need to do is grab the new last three FIX tracks and they will slot into the other tracks you have already downloaded. Sorry again for this cock up. Will triple check the next show I put up before putting it out. |

So my video for the full Rijksmuseum 2017 show is now up on the RTSR tracker.
Took a bit of work due to the different frame rates in the two source video files (the original Facebook Live Stream 30FPS and the new TV hour highlights video 25FPS) but think I've managed to get it all together so it flows and is smooth. I have added our remastered audio from this show over the video as well to improve the audio from the videos. It is a big file but grab it if you can and let me know if there are any issues or what you think of it? Matt |

Thanks, Matt. I looked over the 30 fps Facebook video, and it actually has a 25 fps signal inside. The frames are encoded in the following repeating cadence: ABCDEE
So, one second of video would look like this: ABCDEE FGHIJJ KLMNOO PQRSTT UVWXYY So, if you drop the duplicated frames, you end up with a smooth 25 fps. So, hopefully your software dropped the correct frames when converting to 25 fps, otherwise, there's going to be some judder. I'll take a look at what happened with your encode once I've finished downloading it. |

ok ...right I think Ive got a code line that I can use with ffmpeg to remove the duplicate frames...I'll put up a small clip from this convert if you can check it?

Just did a bit more digging and when you use the filters in ffmpeg (like the decimate filter) it re-encodes the video.
Thats a bit annoying as that will lose a bit of quality and then i'll have to re-encode again when putting the pieces together in Vegas. Not sure there is a way round this. After a bit of research it doesnt appear like you can remove duplicate frames without re-encoding. Any one else have some video editing knowledge of maybe another way of dealing with this? (getting the 30FPS video down to the correct 25FPS and without losing quality)?? |
