these clips really remind me of phonestrap 6 / autotrader 4. they sound different from underworld's recent work in a frightening way... can't wait to hear the rest this weekend!

Yeah, there's a definite 'looseness', for want of a better word, that Barbara picked up from Oblivion, but this sounds a lot more rigid. Not what I was expecting, which is always a good thing.

the second instagram story contained less than a split second more of the song than the first story did, if anyone cares enough to edit the audio together. it's not too significant though.

will compare this audio to the final audio whenever its available, if they're sharing it like this though i'd imagine the mastering is done, or nearly done.

So they're short previews in a regimented techno vein. Since 2001, each new UW release has made me go "huh?", But shortly thereafter, I love it. I expect the same from the guys this time.

Simon did the art direction for all the Barbara Barbara stuff. It looks like he's probably doing that again for the new album. It looks like this could be from a new music video. Rob was director of photography for the Simon Taylor-directed Nylon Strung video. OTOH, in the IG comments, Rob says "#photoshoot". UW usually have Perou do the album promo photoshoot though. Perou's done every album since Beaucoup Fish. So, I'm still leaning towards music video for this one.

Simon did the visuals for the new song clips that were posted to IG before the Reykjavik concert.

Just so we're keeping track of (recent) unreleased material. We have 3 things in teasers we've not seen released, they played an unreleased (and since unmentioned) track at ADE (with Bird1 vox), and there's a multiple of tracks with Iggy also ready according to Karl. Excited to see what gets released next.

there's actually been four teasers; two of those were promotions for the Reykjavik performance and the other two for IMS Ibiza and Belfast Biggest Weekend respectively. the unreleased opening track at the ADE gig (which i assume is what you're referring to) had Between Stars vox rather than those of Bird 1.

So, we've gotten all these new music snippets in Custard Speedtalk and the Iceland landscape one in Pinetum. And, of course, Appleshine earlier.

This is the only one ("You and me, nothing's a drag") we haven't gotten yet:
But, in relistening to that today, I realized that the beats and rhythm are from Another Silent Way. So, is it a remix? An abandoned experiment? Maybe it's a synthesis of two different songs, the way Brussels is.

yeah kinda sad that it's been repurposed into ASW because the version in the preview sounds a bit livelier but ASW still kicks.

playing ASW next to this track, i don't think they're the exact same. ASW is slightly faster and the percussion is more varied. however, i definitely feel as though it's some kind of synthesis since the main rhythm contains a similar sound to the outro of ASW. perhaps these tracks were composed quite close to each other?

Actually, I think they are exactly the same. I just played the Reykjavik video along with ASW (EP version) starting at the 1:32 mark, and they were completely in sync.
