The Beaucoup Fish super deluxe edition comes packaged in a hard 12″ x 12″ box case that complements the expanded reappraisals of dubnobasswithmyheadman and Second Toughest In The Infants.

This edition includes a selection of rare and unreleased material from the time and 60-pages of new artwork alongside an essay on the album by Robin Turner. As with its predecessors, audio remastering was undertaken by Underworld’s Rick Smith and Abbey Road Studios’ Miles Showell, and the artwork created by long time Underworld collaborators, tomato.

Available as Super Deluxe 4CD, heavyweight 2LP Vinyl & 1CD, all physical formats are available bundled with an exclusive album artwork t-shirt designed by tomato available only at underworldlive.com.

Just announced the 4CD Super Deluxe version. CD 1 is regular album, 2nd is demos and b-sides, 3rd is pretty normal remixes, 4th is much rarer stuff, including 2 Italian only KoS and 2 promo PU! Out Aug. 25.

Why too slow?!

I guess they have been sitting on this for a while and have been waiting for the MIF18 events to be finished. I think this era was more about b-side remixes more so that the other albums so I guess it makes sense to have them in the box set....and only a month to wait :)

also nice to have the DJ Zinc Instrumental and Futureshock remix of Bruce Lee! didn't know they did a mix of that too...

be nice to see some track timings - some international / promo variants of the original tracks were issued so it'll be interesting to see if its the uk vanilla version

All the album tracks will be the same as the original album. The longer cuts of the songs (Push Upstairs, Jumbo, Moaner) are readily available on the 2012 Anthology.

Not this time, apparently. They're only doing 1-disc remastered album, and 4-disc box set.

If you don't care about physical media, you could buy the tracks you're interested in piecemeal from iTunes or Amazon MP3 or wherever.

Well, Beaucoup Fish is my favorite album, and I have the other boxes, so I'm compelled, I suppose.
Was also hoping for more unreleased material, but disc 2 still should be amazing, and there are a couple remixes that it'll be nice to have on CD rather than dodgy mp3. Also like the short wait time till release.

Yeah, and given the amount of duplication with some of the singles you'd think we might at least get The Large Unit, Barking Mix, Dobropet, Bruce Lee Short, maybe Darren Price's Push Upstairs to make the first disc a bit more properly Underworldy. I really like the Future Shock mix of Jumbo, but otherwise nothing there really appeals to me. Basically means I'd be spending £55 on one CD.

Will probably buy the download version and burn disc 2 to a CDr to slot in alongside the booklet in my digifile version though. Lack of a standard 2CD edition is disappointing, but I get the feeling that might have been the lowest selling version of the previous two.

Still, glad this has finally come along! What happens once Oblivion With Bells comes out, are we finally getting 4CD versions of Underneath the Radar and Change the Weather?

well - I'm PSYCHED to finally have the Buffalo Daughter, DJ Hype & DJ Zinc, and Futureshock remixes of Bruce Lee

and it's super nice to finally have the "Italian Remixes" of KoS

(okay - so basically all of disc four)

BUT...

it's a bit odd not to have the "Rick's Bungalow" mix of KoS or the "Large Unit" mix of Push Upstairs (as they were both UW remixes)

It will be interesting to see if they use the early fade versions of the Sugar Hit and Futureshock Worlds Apart Jumbo mixes which chopped off about a minute and a half from the end of each to conform to UK singles chart regulations but then annoyingly became the default versions on other formats that didn't have such restrictions. Also curious as to weather Futureshock Vocal mix is the same as the Worlds Apart mix and Rob Rives & Francois Kevorkian Dub is the same as the Main Dish mix, or if they are previously unreleased remixes.

Also a little disappointing to see 2 discs of remixes instead of the any of the Blue Mountain tracks, but maybe those original tapes have been lost (who knows?)

No blue mountain? Lemonworld web releases? Fuck, maybe even just misc tracks from Anti-rom (I know it got (very eventually) collected in Bungalow With Stairs but surely there must be extras from that too).
I stopped going to forums because I hate complaining like this now but eeeeeeaaaughhh TWO discs of a four disc set of [not underworld] is so uniquely head-grabbing considering the material we KNOW is there. Only one alt version of king of snake and probably neither of them will be the sept97 or bungalow version.

I'm really hoping that R+K will finally listen to us, and release all that Lemonworld stuff in it's own distinct 'package.' Like, I'd be super content even if it's just a download.

Also - I am SOOOO GLAD I didn't spend like $30 on the "Bruce Lee" single the other day. I only have the Buffalo Daughter remix on mp3, and I was like "oh there's no way it'll be on the BF boxset if/when it ever comes out"

and there's a chance that like... "Cappe Ffuno" is on disc 2, just with a different title

also - either "King Of Snake – Garage Mix A1313 Set 97b"or "Ramajama" could be the early version of KOS (if not a variation on the Bungalow mix).

At least the remixes from this era were pretty decent.

As mentioned earlier, that's available on the 2002 Anthology. "The Full Length of It" is just the unedited version of Push (6:10).

Not impressed, way too many remixes by other people, not enough Underworld. I can only hope all the missing live stuff is being held back for an everything everything box.

Yes, they're definitely some of the better ones.
One thing I realised is that with the existence of The Bells, The Bells, hopefully the Oblivion With Bells box, whenever it comes along, won't be quite so chocked full of remixes.
Also there weren't anywhere near as many released for AHDO-era either, so that too might be better value that this one.

No Japan only boxset this time, it seems... Amazon Japan only has the UK version listed.

I'm kinda excited about this release - especially disc 2 - but yeah, too many remixes and stuff we already have. Hoping for a interesting book though.

Shipping charges seem way more reasonable this time, at least to where I live.

Two discs of outsourced garbage. Those remixes were crap then and they're even worse now. Underworld has always been better than everyone else, nobody has done these tracks justice. Truly astonished that they're not loading up this set with material from what's unquestionably the zenith of Underworld Live, not to mention Anti-Rom and the Lemonworld tracks from the era. This really could have been the most auspicious of the reissues and instead it's the least.

personally, i think we're being a little 'fan boy' unfair to this release...

I think its pretty comprehensive - its 4 discs (remastered)

its the remastered original album - which obviously everyone owns, but that's the point of the remaster...
a complete disc of totally unheard of takes, tracks and exclusives that Rick has dug out, be grateful for this!!!!

and two discs sets of remixes

this is all of the remixes of the singles (or the essential remixes) including at least three never released remixes (the DJ Zinc mix of Bruce Lee is really good tbf).

you have to remember this album was released at the time of peak single remixing and publicity - this album was like The Phantom Menace when it came to marketing and licencing and remixing it up for a wider audience. (is it because it came out in the same year perhaps??)

the Italian KOS mixes were really hard to get hold of at the time, and a lot of the stuff was vinyl / promo only.

I don't think putting any live tracks on these releases is a great idea, i know they put a whole disc of BS versions on the the STITI release, but this was to highlight the track progression, rather than to give us the 'best' live versions. Live needs to be separated out imo.

this album also gave us a route to EE and that is the 'live disc' that should accompany this release.

maybe we'll get a More Everything Everything remaster later...

i reckon that there are a fair few fans out there who will want all of these tracks on one set, like this...

but i also reckon that there are a fair few fan boys on here who basically have every version of every track off this album already - regardless of how it was packaged - they would still bloody moan about something being missed...

remixes of Underworld tracks are contentious (and are with every band), but also i think in this case essential.

This LP release finally got Underworld into a much wider market, with the various 'genre remixes' of the singles. and i think they need to be on here.

whether you like it or not, remixing makes the world go round...

anyway, i think we should embrace this release, could it have been better possibly, but i wouldn't remove any of the content, just add another disc ;)

I got into UW around the BF era and indeed did seek out as much as possible, remixes included. Would it have been awesome to have the Blue Mountain gig remastered? Sure, but I can still enjoy the old UWlive downloaded version, along with a lot of other tracks and live cuts made available in that era. Of the other box sets, I only really listen to the rarities discs, occasionally the remastered lp, because I have most everything else. It's hard to please everyone, but I'd like to believe that some thought went into collating this box set, including rate remixes that even some of the most devoted fans won't have and the other remixes that a less obsessed fan might not have.

I think the problem really is that two of those discs aren't produced by Underworld. I thought there might well have been a single disc of remixes, but half the set given over to other people's productions just seems lacking in actual Underworld. Do we need both Hype & Zinc versions of Bruce Lee?

And in terms of fanboyisms, surely a 4CD set like this is mostly aimed at fanboys. The lack of 2CD set really suggests that they're not pursuing a more 'casual buyer' approach this time around.

I just can't imagine many people playing, in particular, disc 3 on a regular basis.

I think the first boxset was the best, 2nd toughest was better than this one.

Maybe sales weren't what was expected for the others, and so the budget for this might have been less, and therefore less material.

I wonder if they will do anymore after this. Maybe they will all just be 2xCD deluxe releases.

Maybe one more release would be worth a super deluxe treatment, but i'm having a hard time seeing more given this treatment.

This. Though I guess I'm not playing the disc of different Nuxx mixes and live versions from STITI boxset on a regular basis either, at least it was their own mixes and live stuff. And now we get an Underworld boxset with no live tracks on it?? From one of the most prolific live eras of their career? That's just wrong. Who else is gonna buy this but fanboys (and girls)? By all means have a disc of the best remixes but disc 4 should have been a live set/collection, no question about it.
It doesn't even have their own awesome Moaner Relentless Legs mix on there but hey here's six fucking remixes of King of Snake by other people.
That second disk better be good.

Perhaps Everything Everything is due for a reissue itself? That could include loads of extra stuff on bonus discs. Imagine, a four or five-disc Underworld Live release, circa 1998-2000? The holy grail, surely.
