That's a pretty terrible remix. The guys voice and overly earnest delivery is severely off-putting to me.

So Carling paid a fortune for a bad remix, and made a rare piece of vinyl with a proper live version on it that there is absolutely no way at all for Underworld fans to get hold of?

Way to piss people off, Carling!

This is right up there with Volkswagen's 'we've made this amazing generative music app with Underworld but we won't let anyone have it' in the dumb marketing ideas that seem specifically designed to get people to hate your brand stakes.

I am looking forward to any footage that Carling releases in the near future.

I don't mind the Cowgirl "remix", it is a different interpretation.. perhaps the vocals a bit too shoegazy, but its better than yet another "Club/DJ" mix. Anyway I consider this more of a "cover" than a "remix", but thats another debate.

I bet that vinyl will be extremely collectable though.

I won free tickets to this but couldnt go at the last min. So i gave the tickets away to two lucky london Dirts. I got a goodie bag out of it and will also get a copy of the vinyl they recorded. if you search for the hastags on twitter you can see lots of photos. Apparently UW played a small set afterwards but played almost the same set as they did at 6Music. #blklabelproject #blacklabelproject

Live sets from ultra miami are getting posted about, saw gorgon city and poked through, they played their cover of Cowgirl. Can't say I'm surprised such a track is getting more live play... ;)

It's second in the set, and it cuts out a couple times, but it's there. Haven't bothered to listen to the original rendition more than once so can't comment on if it's any different.

Finally managed to pick up a copy of this- does anyone else have it?
Took a bit of negotiation with a couple of sellers (one who wouldn't budge from north of £150 and claimed to have sold a couple at that price already) but I eventually got one for a reasonable amount.

Yeah, I got one for £37, but I think I probably got a good deal on it. I haven't listened to it yet. There weren't many of these made.

Rather shockingly considering it's worth 5-10 times as much, and it there's no obvious reason any one person would have 8 copies, I actually don't think it's a bootleg!

I bought one expecting it to be a shoddy fake, and either they have nailed the sleeve reproduction better than any boot I've ever seen (no sign of moire on the halftoning) and got the handwritten engraved message and catalogue number spot on, or it's real. The only issue is that it's got a few flecks of black in the white vinyl, so it might be that this guy has a pile of rejects? Oh, and it was packaged awfully - just wrapped in brown paper, so I'm amazed it got here in one piece!

They're legit. I've talked to the guy before. He somehow ended up with all the overstock from Black Label, about 90 copies. He really wants to dump them. He was trying to sell them in big lots, or even the whole bundle, but no one was biting. I guess he's trying to sell them individually again. If you wait, he might lower the price on them. All these copies are going to crater the value on this release, which is fine. I'd rather the collectors that want a copy can get them, than some guy who doesn't even know what they are just sitting on them.
