the 2005 dirty poll

we've done this a few times in the past

basically, email me (or private message me) your top 10 albums of the year in order and then in a few weeks over the festive period i'll post the results here and we'll see which albums have been the most popular here on the forums during the past 12 months

even if you only have 3 or 4 favourite albums this year still send them in as every vote counts

let the best album win...

no real deadline as such - send em in now if you want or send em in the next couple of weeks - i'll probably post the results the week before christmas or something so get them in by then at the very latest...

its top ten released this year. here was i thinking "i havent bought that much new music this year", but look what a bit of hunting for release dates came up with:
out hud, blackalicious, chemical brothers, gorillaz, magnet, coldplay, hard fi, the bravery, kaiser chiefs, kanye west, lcd soundsystem, bloc party, doves, futureheads, foo fighters, tom vek, soulwax, maximo park, boards of canada, jackson and his computer band, autechre,...

i think all mine are weird releases. well, mostly. mine will be easy to spot because they'll be the ones with only 1 vote at the bottom of the list.

not necessarily so - i think because it's been such a great year for music this year there's a really diverse bunch of albums being chosen so far - there's obviously a few that are doing well but generally it's wide open - i know in my own particular case i had to choose from 20 or so albums that would usually have easily made my top 10 in any other year...

it really is wide open this year with over a 100 different albums already voted for so far and, in my opinion some strange omissions from those 100

so email me your top 10 or however many make a difference :)

ahhhhh. i keep meaning to vote, but i haven't got round to it yet. for what it's worth, 'Takk' is almost certainly going to be my number one, but i've bought(/heard) loads of new records this year, so the rest is going to be tricky. i'm working on it though. promise.
