The first single from Karl Hyde’s upcoming solo album has been released today. ”The Boy With The Jigsaw Puzzle Fingers“ is available digitally on iTunes and Amazon at the following links:

The single features remixes by remixes from Kasket (R&S Records) and Matthew Herbert (Accidental Records). The full tracklisting is:

well that certainly went to a wonderful and beautiful place by the end. There's a martin gore and smiths sound to the vocals with a quite modern twist to the sounds along with it.

i really really liked this. excitement level just went way up for release day.

I like it, but his vocal style in this reminds me of "Hey Ho Away We Go" by Freur, which makes me throw up.

FYI there is no US itunes way to buy this. So far that I've seen, it is only available from the UK store... and my US apple ID will not allow purchase. Could try Amazon, but it's a little frustrating.

Great tune. Reminds me of the Pogues a bit.... in their more personal moments.

The US release date is tomorrow (as US new releases are on Tues., whereas the UK is Monday). It'll be available at that Amazon link for sure. Just waiting to see if it shows up on iTunes US too.

iTunes US is up too now. It's slightly cheaper through Amazon though.

i've been listening to this quite a bit lately. Cut Clouds doesn't do it for me, however Jigsaw is totally working. Good stuff.

Even though I never d/l the single and didn't really play it in the last week or so...I've in the last day or two had it stuck in my head really badly! :eek:

And I prefer the remixes to the original. Now, the original's not bad, but I didn't really dig how it opens. It ends so much better, though.

Great! Now I can listen before I buy... which I probably will do anyway... I feel guilty owning any UW track that I didn't rightfully pay for unless it's a fan mix... and I've got a ton of them.... and I pay for those too if I could them them in a 256kbps AAC rip!!!

So far - I'm in love wit Cut Clouds... and at first listen to Jigsaw now... - I'm certainly intrigued... in a good way. :)
