Just saw that there is some new stuff from Orbital. I'm sure some will give it the collective 'meh' but there may be others who like it.

Thank you. It reminds me classic Orbital. Im a big fan, looking forward to the release. I saw Orbital in 2009, its great that they are working on a new album!

The first minute seemed very Casiotone, but then, Orbital always sort have sounded that way, analog with heart.
Around 2:15 and through to the end, it's got some bite and beats. Like it. Closer in feel to 90's Orbital, but not the aggro excess or weird experiments/cheekiness of latter albums or even last year's double A-Side "Don't Stop Me/The Gun is Good" (which seemed forced, imho).

Looking forward to this record for certain!

agree with holden. the first 2:15 or so is a bit meh, but then it kicks in and its a decent tune. video is cool too.

Very odd feeling watching the video and recognising almost all the roads from my time in East London/Essex.

like it - more reminiscent of early albums where less is more. streets ahead of that 'gun is good' bollocks. no pun intended. there's a nice warmth about it, which is a classic orbital feel.

great they're not resorting to terrible collaborations in search of inspiration. maybe uw should take a decent sabatical?!

THis reminds me of there track 'Style' the way it gives an almost cheesy sound to build into an anthem. However im finding the first 2mins a thing of beauty.This is the right direction :cool:

I kinda like it, but I think I've moved past Orbital a few years ago. not much desire to visit their catalog these days.

Nice. Has a floating, uplifting spirit. I like the first two minutes as well. Fitting video, although not really original.

Their last decade or so has been shit as far as me giving a fuckstick about their output, starting with the Middle of Boredom/Nowhere album, so surprising for them to actually rattle a little dust off.:cool:
