imho, its their best remix, and its a classic balearic style grumbler of a track, in fact i believe there were three versions of this...a green eyed dub on cd, as well - part two was fairly well known and easy to get hold of on promo and cd, part one was very limited to a very limited black sky remix promo - and is really hard to track down, and i cannot remember if this is in fact the green eyed dub under another name....hmmm - investigate i will...

it probably sounding a bit dated in today's electronica world, but its certainly worth checking out, as it features very little of shakespears sister - its probably 20 years old this year... which is

I really love these remixes - just had to give them a listen again when I saw this thread.
Dub extravaganza part 1 is identical to the Green Eyed Dub and has a lot of vocal and the original track, whereas part 2 mainly is instrumental and goes on for more than 10 minutes. Awesome. And yes, unbelievable that this is almost 20 years ago...

this remix was BIG all over new york. house music wasn't so divided back then and dj's like junior vasquez, frankie knuckles and big tone played "progressive house" from the uk,italian screamers and new jersey garage in the same set.
check out big tone's mix on the first ever mix cd put out by ministry of sound.

It was Shakespear's Sister and Ofra Haza, simultaneously(sp), that/when I first realized the "underworld" preheaders were more than just an idea and actually a person/group. Researching artists back in the day was NOTHING like today. You kids have no idea how easy you got it. Funny thing I've noticed is how much information is right in front of people's eyes these days and they still don't see.

Anyways, yeah good mixes.

that's the one i have too. there's a copy very cheap on discogs right now. worth snagging.

does anyone have a copy of the promo 12" with both UW mixes they'd be willing to sell/trade?

Re: shakespear's sister underworld remix

ok - so just to make sure I have this down right...

are there two or three different mixes?

is Black Sky (Dub Extravaganza Part One) the same track as "Black Sky (Green Eyed Dub)"

I used to have a copy of "Dub Extravaganza Part Two"... but that seems to be missing, and I never was able to find "Part One", and I just now was able to find a download of the "Green Eyed Dub"
