Bird 1: The Dirty Mixes
 

Now that the remix competition is over, it's time to give our community members' mixes some proper attention, especially those that might have been overlooked in the deluge of contest entries.

We'll do a release with a proper tracklisting and artwork, and host it on Born Dirty here. If you'd like to be included, please send me a PM with the following:

1. A download link to your mix in WAV (or comparable) form
2. The exact name for your track, e.g. Bird 1 (XYZ Remix)
3. How you'd like your name to be credited for the remix

Send them to me by, let's say, Dec. 17, and we'll try to have the compilation released by the end of the year.

I have one in progress, but I'm not sure I can have it ready for the 17th. Been dealing with a lot that's taken my attention away from music. I'll just work away on it and see what happens. Great idea though!

I am still gonna get round to this, having a few issues bouncing mine down as a wav at the moment.
Might have to submit a 320kbps Mp3 version, which is decent enough quality anyway I hope!!

When I think about all the positive energy people put into doing/listening/discussing the Dirty Mixes while the contest was still running, I can't believe we won't manage to finish this project.

Come on people, upload your WAVs somewhere and send the link to TheBang. Just imagine you were asked by Beatport and/or Underworld to do so - let me quote from the official contest rules:

Ah. That makes sense. Probably hasn't been a bad idea to let people get a break from more bird1 mixes for a bit before putting it out, too.

by the way... who won the contest in the end?

(I mean - it was a contest through beatport, right? That's how/ why all the stems for the track were made available... And the winner was supposed to get something...)

I don't remember any announcement, but I haven't been paying attention
