Hey all,

To tide you over till actual new UW music appears (soon), i dug out my remixes of Underworld, under my AViD production moniker. A few used to be on the dirty.org fan remix site (and may be gone forever), but others are new! It's all packed up in a ZIP file here:

i'd been meaning to have a listen to some of the fan mixes until they got disappeared, so I'll have a listen tonight.

I fear your babies may be neglected with UWlive releases imminent, though...:D

i excluded that one since it wasn't solely my work. No offense meant!
And anyway, Gambit did the majority of that remix...please check out his music and other work, it's awesome!

i always enjoy hearing fan-made remixes...they may not be technically fantastic (see my junk above!) but i think a lot of heart goes into making them. Thanx for your kind words!

excellent, been listening to these old mixes recently on my hard drive...so i'll re d/l these to see if there are any improvements ;)


'avid throws in the airtowel' is a fav for sure...plus its luetin...its wicked....

if any of you want the Luetin / Air Towel (Avid Throws In The Airtowel Remix) or Bruce Lee (Avid Lifekid Mix) on vinyl, now is your chance. It seems that infamous japanese bootleg sellers Cisco Records have bootlegged a bunch of old dirty.org mixes and put them out on vinyl!

The mixes are on Volume #1 here and Volume #2 here (available for ¥2,420, about $20) of "Underground Remixes" on Hot Shot Records which is also the label you can now buy Bootleg Babies and the John Peel Session from 2003 on...

Wow, is that even legal? I'm kinda heartbroken that one of my remixes wasn't chosen, but then again, I don't know if I'd like if someone just slapped one of mine on a record and began selling it without my (or Underworld's) permission.

yea, i saw those records available about a year ago.

dark & long (dark clouds) is by me. and i did it when i was about 12 or 13.

yeah, when this surfaced a few months back, i first thought, "dang, that's cool! my mix is on vinyl, maybe getting dropped in Japanese discos!". Then i though, "dirty bastards, making money off of stuff that no one got clearance for...they're fan remixes, not for profit." Worst of all is they use to be free downloads. The selling of the Bootleg Babies and Peel session is not ethical.

But anyway, if someone wants to pay $20 for a bunch of unknown remixers' efforts, that's their problem. For free, you can still DL my collection:

I realy love your 8 Ball (AViD Dark & Happy), too bad it's just 112kb/s.
8 Ball = one of my fav. UW tracks, it's nice to hear a more uptempo version :)

to be honest, that's about 55 more downloads than i expected this to get! Thanks to those for listening and the kind comments, esp. on 8-Ball (dark and happy)...i like how that turned out, too!
