Underworld Related Tattoo
 

I've been ready for another tattoo for some time now. I have a few ideas I'm throwing around but none are set in stone yet. It got me thinking, what would be a good underworld related tattoo?

Just getting "underworld" would be cheesy and I'd probably punch people from all the movie comments. :)

I figure something like a symbol that represents UW, I just can't think of any. Maybe a line or two from a song, but I love all their lyrics. It would be too hard to choose.

Any ideas?

i'm think of having 'emerson' tattooed on my arm - then getting it crossed out and 'price' put underneath - then maybe an 'anchor' with a massive 'W' infront of it, just below that...

Admit it, you're only hoping for a nice _place_ where it's being tattoed ... ;)

What about "thunder thunder lightning ahead" and/or "now i kiss you dark and long"? I like that a lot.

any album art or a picture of a dog (preferably Jack Russel Terrier) sitting, followed by dog boy go woof. or woof. idk

DEFINATLEY the dubno hand (like on stimps dog tags). that way any uw would know instantly (hopefully).

i think stiti is great but would be hard to do.

Is the dubno hand in the liner notes? I don't remember that anywhere. Then again, I haven't looked at those notes in a long time.

I'm really considering something UW related. Just not sure what. :rolleyes:

The more I think about this, the more I'm actually considering it. Some lyrics sound good. "Everything, Everything". Hmm.

I need to check out the liner notes for dubno, I don't remember seeing the hand.

Think this is too cheesy? Anyone have any other band tattoos?

the hand is on the front cover of dubno, but it is in the mess of things. middle top right area...

i have a prodigy one.... d'oh.
it's the ant, no words. haven't regretted it so far ;) - the image itself is fine, and i associate it with the great times i had with my mates going to see the prodigy repeatedly when i was ooh 16/17, and listening to their music non-stop. before the last meh album ;)

How about finding out what the chinese or japanese for 'underworld' is and having a tattoo of that......far eastern tat's are all the rage apperently.....well Beckham's got one anyway;)

Well since I read an article about japanese/chinese tattooshops making tattoos with a whole different meaning than they say, I'm not too keen on them :p

I dug up this old thread because I thought I remembered one but wasn't sure. I am seriously contemplating getiing an UW tat to commerate them and what they mean to me and my life. I am thinking about getting some of the lyrics to "Cowgirl" since it's my fav and I now live in TX(:D LOL). Where can I find the official lyrics? Several sites have them but they're all a little different.

I have this symbol on the nape of my neck about 8" tall.

well - unfortunately (or depending on how you see it - fortunately) Underworld have only ever "officially" published the lyrics to Born Slippy .NUXX

a few tracks off the riverrun series did have lyrics posted over on UWlive (in the members section)

other than that... you'd have to sort of skim through the Mmm...Skyscraper book, the Dubnobasswithmyheadman liner notes, or... um - I think that some snatches of lyrics are in either "Procress" or "In the Belly of Saint Paul" but I could be wrong

your BEST bet is to just ask here on the MB

back when RTSR existed as a definite, separate website - they had a (pretty much) complete discography, and the lyrics for all the songs up to Beaucoup Fish -> although these were guessed by fellow dirts (but they were more accurate than say - what you'd get on a random google search)

I've got .NUXX tattooed at my back a year ago. It's pretty cool since only real UW-fans know what it means. A lot of people asked me what's it about and when I tell them it's an UW-track most of 'm ask why I didn't took a born slippy tattoo and then I have to explain it's practically the same :)

I've always thought the white circular grade from the front of Beaucoup Fish would look pretty cool (maybe with a strip of dark blue behind it) - but I'm always so leary of getting something like that and having it screwed up.

As an artist, my trust in OTHER artists is always hard to give (I wish I could do it myself so I knew if I screwed it up, I'd have no one to blame but myself)...
