Too many events to mention :cool: I always think of how much I have going on in terms of how "fat" my tickets envelope is. Gigs of note coming up include parts two and three of a 2 Many DJs triple header, Tom Vek presenting his We Have Sound System, Streetrave at the Arches which had Chris spitting for some reason, The Go! Team again and Instal Festival ("Brave New Music"). Also hitting all of the below.


Sub Club it is mate - you can crash at mine so drinking's on. Be warned though - a comfy bed isn't guaranteed. On these nights the comfy spots tend to go to a combination of the heaviest & drunkest people and the "best fighters" :D

i saw her with Kings of Convenience. If you like the album, you'll love the live show. if you think she's another bitch with an acoustic guitar who's excorsizing demons from past relationships and mental/sexual abuse then i recommend shouting Freebird! during the quiet parts. oh yeah, plenty of quiet parts during her set.

Rob Dickenson next weekend in a teeny tiny venue. I miss Catherine Wheel, but I've a feeling I'll be underwhelmed. :(

SFA in Boston in early November - 10th SFA show in 5 years. Bring it on! Only making it to one show this tour, unfortuantely. :(

The Hidden Cameras with the Toronto Dance Theatre in late November, in Toronto obviously - also my 10th Hidden Cameras show, 2nd time with the Dance Theatre. I might try to sneak up to Hamilton in early November to see them again, but I dunno if I can make it.

I haven't been to many shows this year at all - I think Duran Duran and the Hidden Cameras and that's it - and now there's a bunch all at once. Whee!

Interesting trivia - a ned is West of Scotland speak for what you guys call chavs. Someone told me it's meant to mean Non-Educated Delinquent but I just think they're called that because they look like the word sounds..
Anyway Alex Smoke is a Glasgow lad, so no doubt where the track title comes from. I swear he wrote it using Music 2000 on the PlayStation, I recognise every sound...
