Yeah it seems they have the description from 1950s western, "Jubal" :) As for other info, thats all I have. I wonder if its a CD release of the Live Jam from 12.12.2007?

Steve Hall + Rick and Karl mixing up a variety of stuff i'd imagine. Like DJ Kicks but focussed on Underworld and their musical choices, I assume.

I was responding as to why peeps weren't getting super excited yet. I agree that I didn't phrase my question properly. What I meant was that I still don't know what to expect out of this. Is it going to be all UW tracks? Is it going to be like a lemonworld performance?

I checked those links; they didn't add any more info than 'Western Tale of Glenn Ford.' and Twitter is blocked at work.

Yea but i mean... why be picky?.. if they say its a collection of music like the Back To Mine series will you really be that disapointed? Or if its a Mix like that of the Misterons mix we had on the site before - will you be disappointed?

Eitherway its looking fairly cool, and considering there is a release of some kind around the corner this will be something to feed the hunger even if it isnt a lot...

...so i am excited even if everyone else isnt..

I expect it will be similar to the Back to Mine and the radioshows. Should be interesting at least. I wonder if it's gonna be mixed in some way or just seperate tracks.

I didn't particularly care for the Back To Mine release -- forgot it even existed until right at this moment. I do however, love their radio shows especially as of late.

And oh, I'm totally getting this. I personally get excited at even a hint of music from the boys.

I really hope new stuff like Bamboo isn't just going to be stuck on this, I'd prefer it to be on its own unique UW release and not a compilation with other artists.

I listen to it probably at least once a month or so...
sure there are some bad bits, but - I love "B-Movie" and then that section where it goes from Toots & the Maytals "54-46" all the way through Dead Prez's "Hip Hop"

my g/f always asks to put the cd in the car whenever we go on longer car trips

The Misterons radio show has bits of Brian Eno on it, so it could be an encouraging release.

Any release by Underworld and friends is something worth looking forward to!

I enjoy the radio broadcasts for their,well, live and after-hours aspects. I actually prefer some banter and happy accidents to a slick, overproduced mix or compilation. However, if it's a physical release for sale, as this appears to be, it'll likely be the latter, in the Back-to-Mine vein. Still, let's hope for some unreleased or otherwise remixed UW tracks alongside excellent selections from R&K's collection.

Ha they (MTV and VH1) seem to be promoting the album as an Underworld Album .... i like Athens as a name.. though i wouldnt be suprised if there was some sort of relation to when and where plans were made for the collection..who knows?

Artwork and samples here. 'Beebop Hurry' is a bit crazy. Athens is the name of the painting that Karl did that is also the cover.

Maybe we'll get Cowgirl/Beebop in a live show.
