The football season doesnt start for another month, but the fantasy football website has been reset and so i've reregistered, picked my initial (random, computer autogenerated for now) team and created this years Dirty League.

Ill 'be emailing a few of you Technique regulars so I'm hoping for more than the 10 people we got last year (9 the year before!)

You have 100.0 to spend on a squad of 15 players. Your squad must be made up of 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards with no more than 3 players from any Barclays Premier League club. If you dont want to spend time choosing players now, just let it autofill and do it before august 15th!

You can pick your team now, and change it as much as you want without penalty before 15 Aug 11:30 BST which is when Gameweek 1 starts.

Mr Wells - I notice that the same as me, you didn't use your insurance & banker chips for the first round either. You need to click on the 'chips' next to the games you want to use them for.

Your banker chip means your score for that match gets multiplied by the number shown in the column to the right of it and your insurance chip gets placed next to the result you're least sure about and means you can't score a negative for that match.

If I had used them for the first round my score would be zero instead of minus 20 but there you go - long way to go yet and I've got lots of other results to get wrong in the weeks ahead...

the Salad Dodger surge to the top - i know it won't last but hell - let me revel in the glory - especially as my real team had a superbly bad week... Defoe Torres, Lampard and Gerrard in the same team has helped i feel :)

Well, apparently I didnt wait til the Sunday and Monday games were calculated... and who got the biggest haul of points this week?

....by 1 point. 71 in total! so now im back up to 3rd place, 3 points behind Ian. Matt still out in front by loads though. Thanks to a bent double (bent double? hah), tightarse bramble and Stevie G who netted me 42 points between them. Nice one lads.

A bumper 88 points for me got extended my lead at the top. after losing my crown last year i vowed to get it back this year!

On a side note, i finished top of most of the other leagues im in too, and made the top 10 of the Owlstalk league (150 teams). Doesnt make up for the owls getting relegated but its something!
