Seems to me like a bit of a standard Hollywood production. Unless I've missed something.

now, i never let anybody's personal shit get in the way when deciding to see a movie.
but tht tragedy on the today show just canned any motivation to blow $10 on it.

i know now that every time i see his mug that i wont think of an actor or character but a pompous shit who put his co-stars and crew through a lot of cultist crap and believes that psychology is a belief system rather than a science.

i thought i was better than that but i'm not.

I think it's going to be crap, but I'll still see it.

The funny thing is, after Magnolia, I started to really respect Tom Cruise. Boy, has that gone flush.

you don't know the history of psychiatry, I do.

just knowing people on ritalin isn't enough!

All that scientology-fueled madness aside, this was a pretty good hollywood summer action flick. I'd say it was almost early-days Spielberg instead of lately-Spielberg until the very end. i was pleasantly surprised!

Here HERE B. Miller!

I too was surprised. I'd read a few reviews today and was a bit skeptical at first, but the film won me over.

Granted it's not without it's pitfalls and trappings that seem to be the undoing of most spielberg films as of late. Some of the 9/11-esque imagery was getting a bit out of hand at times for me, but that is Spielbergo for you.

By the end it made me wish I had a copy of Mars Attacks! and Independence Day at home so I could watch either of those as I fall asleep this evening.

Anyone else think the film would have perhaps been better if Tom Cruise and Tim Robbins switched characters?

Adderall and Ritalin are street drugs! I know that vitamins and exercise can help people in a far more effective way!

It was terrible. I put Cruise's recent craziness aside before watching this, and I still didn't like Cruise's character or his kids. No one was likable, so I didn't care what happened to anyone throughout the movie. A waste of money, if you ask me.

Yup, alot of annoying characters... especially the 2 kids. Tim Robbins played his part well. And, I wish they were driving in Ray's car, instead of that p.o.s. minivan... I just recently got me one.:D
