Ultimate Electronica Mixtape

I've been asked by someone at work to produce for them a mixtape/cd of some great dance music. It can't be anything too commercial (so your Born Slippys, Insomnias and Plastic Dreams etc. are ruled out) and I'd like it to be fairly recent (since 2000). It can't be too hard (no gabba etc.) and no dubstep. And it's got to be cool.

This is what I've come up with so far:

Aphex Twin/Squarepusher/Vibert etc. (though I don't want it to be a best of Warp/Rephlex compilation!)

Some of the funkier stuff from Venetian Snares

Some Electro, think Etienne De Crecy, Miss Kittin

A bit of Minimal, Hawtin, Villalobos, Kompakt type stuff.

Mathew Johnson's Marionette (I love this song)

BUT.... what else am I missing? What are you're favourite electronic tunes? Any decent recent remixes of classic songs? Help me out here!

cheers
v.

The 'nothing much and something more' mix (2 CDs) by Richie Hawtin and Troy Pierce has some real contemporary gems, imo.

Also, 'sci.fi.hi.fi mix Vol. 3' by Alex Smoke as well as 'Misch Masch Vol. III' by DJ Hell might prove inspirational.

Misch Masch III, CD 2, track 1 is a sexy disco uber-killer: Grace Jones - I've seen that face before (DJ Hell Remix).

i'm not good at much in life. but one thing I am good at is making mix tapes for people. the key ingredient is empathy. this person you're making the mix for: how do they see the world? how do they see themselves? sounds cheesy, but it works.

Magda, Marc Houle & Heartthrob cuts are the best, IMO.

My advice: I like a lot Detrimentalist from Venetian Snares, don't hesitate to put Eurocore MVP or Satjban on your compilation.

+ Radio Slave - Grindhouse (Dubfire "Terror Planet" Remix)

If you don't think it's going too far back Joey Beltram - Energy Flash is what jumps right into my head when I think Ultimate Electronica Mixtape.
