i just got the STITI, but don't have the DUBNO one
yet..

i haven't been buying much over the last few years,
but i did find:
gat decor - passion - italian CD-single with 3 darren emerson mixes
born slippy re-re-release UK CD promo mixes 2003
a hundred days off - promo CD in dvd case
born slippy - french radio 2 track promo sealed (trainspotting)

i still never got into collecting the mixes from
AHDO either, even the commercial releases..

Hi Raj - No, they are both regular 1 disk versions.

The Dubno 2xcd version with Rez and Why Why Why has cat# V2CI 107-108. Turns up now and then on Ebay.

The Stiti Japanese 2xcd I have comes in a fat double cd jewel case with cat# SRCS 8031-2. Tracks on disk 2 are .NUXX, Rez, Cherry Pie, PG (Carp Dreams Mix). Is that the same as yours?

Did any of you buy one of the (many) Tokyo cd sets on ebay yesterday? I bought one and really hope it's not yet another scam. Seller was very friendly and is situated in Essex...hmm :)

Karl did say look out on ebay fairly soon, on UW live....so i reckon this must have been from someone who is related to UW in some way...

well done all those who snagged one... ;)

(just checked the seller's feedback, and the only signs of who this seller is, is by looking at the ebooks that he's bought...he's not sold anything else really...

anyway how long did these stay on ebay for...not long by the looks of it...???

Yes, thanks to you both. Wednesday was a good eBay day for me: this, some dogtags and the Tokyo CD. I've moved my pc to the hall so I can watch the letterbox now. :p

*cough*

These are genuine and have been sold for a Buy It Now price of £15 each, limited to one per person. It strikes me that it is deliberate policy to avoid people making obscene amounts of dosh selling the japanese ones on eBay. I don't know if they are releasing any more, but it would be nice if they did.

Genuine, like the real deal? Authentic original pressing? No lower-quality dirtyradio recording? Too many questions? Is this what we were supposed to be watching Ebay for?:)

Not weird when the ebay ID is one Malcolm Corbett, Underworld's Tour Manager.

Karl told us to look out on ebay and it looks like many of us did. There was no immediate warning apart from that. Of the 20 that went on sale I think at least 12 or 13 went to members of this forum (from looking at the buyer's ebay IDs). Congratulations to you all.

[bootleg] -> _bootleg_babies_on_vinyl_

this is actually kind of neat..
(even sort of flattering)...

but - from the rtsrboard of trade -

some of the tracks from bootleg babies
project have pressed onto vinyl by a
japanese company....of course they
could only fit about 45 minutes of
each onto each side....

not quite legal, but still pretty cool..

a bootleg of 'bootleg babies'...

Tokyo Live cd's on ebay

from the dirty site:
did you see those tokyo live cds on ebay for £15 each, fixed price? apparently there's more where they came from.....

erm, no I didn't see them
any idea what the story is anyone?

King of Snake 02-20-2006 11:43 AM

Re: Tokyo Live cd's on ebay

the story is that a bunch said cd's were up for sale for 15 squid each, I think they were being sold by someone close to the band (not sure?). They were gona pretty quickly as you might imagine, but maybe there will be more.

happiness stan 02-20-2006 11:47 AM

Re: Tokyo Live cd's on ebay

ah thanks KoS
I'd been checking ever now and then, must have missed them.
I'll keep an eye out and post here if I see them (after I've got mine, of course;) )

joethelion 02-20-2006 11:59 AM

Re: Tokyo Live cd's on ebay

well - if they were sold via someone related to the band...

why not sell them from the uwlive site? That way... those who don't feel comfortable w/ paypal, can just use their credit cards to buy them...

-> and am I the only one who gets at least 4/5 fake paypal emails each week? I signed up for it - discovered that it's like a direct-withdrawl from your savings/checking account, and not a way to pay via credit card... so I didn't fully sign up (never gave any info)

...heard nothing from them for literally 3/4 years and now - tons of phony emails

i've never had fake paypal mails. Paypal works via creditcard too btw. That's how i use it anyway, never had any problems.

i too have a paypal account...

and a year ago i got scammed,
before i knew what fake sites
were about...it looked legitimate,
but now i know better..

fortunately my bank reimbursed me
on the amount..

i don't care for paypal, but i think
they're a necessary evil in this day
and age..until something better comes
along..
