actually fuck it, i'll take this seriously for a change. but it's still a cover version.

Take crap, record it - whatever. As long as it's good.

(bump!)

Everyone still on-board with this? So, the deadline's now October 21, right? To whom do we send the submissions/bios and my promised artwork?

Yeah, thanks for the reminder :) Been working on my tune for quite some time now, still needs perfection though.

I think somewhere in this topic Winston offered webspace?

I'm still working on mine with every intention of having it ready for October 21. Actually, I should probably have it ready before since that's my wife's birthday and I don't think she'd be too keen on me sitting there working on music all day. So I'm in. And mine might have guest vocals by one of our very own dirties....:)

Mine's done... as in I've decided it's done and chucked it on my iPod to live with it for a bit, then realised I wanted to tweak some bits, fiddled with it, decided it's done and chucked it on my iPod to live with it for a bit, then realised I wanted to tweak some bits, fiddled with it, decided it's done and chucked it on my iPod to live with it for a bit, then realised I wanted to tweak some bits, fiddled with it etc .... and now I've stopped at version 6.

I may start again before the 21st, but that's life, and if I'm still fiddling after the 21st I'll send what I've got now and call any further fiddling a remix.

Good to hear some folks are basically done! I hope we have a pretty solid completion rate from folks on the list!

I am reworking a track that i recorded on 4-track in 2002 (back then, using a guitar, cheap effects pedals, crapio keyboard, and drum machine). I'm bringing it into the electronic world, but trying to replay the guitar parts is harder than i thought. And then, the vocals...i'm never happy with how my recorded voice sounds, so there's still plenty of takes to go! But it'll be done on time.

Really looking forward to hearing all your tunes :)

Damn, that sounds familiar. ;)

Hey! i'm almost done tinkering with my track, but in the meantime, as promised, here is a preliminary, lo-fi version of possible artwork for the compilation. It's designed as a CD-sized booklet gatefold (so, Right side is front, left is back), assuming all the tracks fit on one CD. The names are just in alphaorder, to be rearranged and with tracknames added.

Take a look:

This is just a start and obviously the real version will be better than this jpeg screenshot. Feel free to comment/critique, either here or PM me your ideas. :)

Cheers,
Holden
