It's... meh. I don't know. I came in really excited and it was just... oh, I don't know. It's just a drum loop, some synths, and Karl going "And it's okayyyyy...". It gets a bit interesting when he starts singing other lyrics but then goes right back to the "chorus". Why couldn't they just have done a studio version of YDS? It was mammoth! It was practically perfect! This is just a really weak Drum & Bass song!

My sentiments exactly. Still going to purchase and support the boys, but trying to reserve judgment until hearing the full length of it.

I'm not mourning the "loss" of the old YDS, mind. That version exists perfectly on the Electraglide disc, so I'm not looking for the same old thing.

Just feels a bit like the air got let out of my balloon (or giant stage inflatable).

Still psyched for new album!

The thing is, people would have complained it was a clone of an old release from five years ago, but people will complain of the radical change like this which is for the good imo.

Meh - it's alright. Though I've only listened to it once. So whatever - I'll rinse through this more with repeats.

I want to hear the full version, because I rarely listen to radio edits of Underworld songs.
(Except "Two Months Off" - that was the first UW song I was exposed to, the radio edit in the music video - heehee)

I for one wouldn't have minded if it was just a studio version of YDS! But I'll admit that it wasn't exactly a "butchering" of the song - it's just that it has so little to do with it and it doesn't sound like a very good first single to me.
