Re: Dubnobasswithmyheadman: 20th Anniversary 5-CD Deluxe Boxset

- If you order the blu-ray or vinyl which comes with the digital files, is it only the digital version of that album?

I'd like a digital version of the 5CD's is what I'm after (and vinyl).

Or like the 5CD set + digital, what digital files does that one come with?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just re-read the "more info" and saw where it states the digital files are just for the main album. Well Poop.

but a lot of bluray releases do:

3 versions of the album:
================================
Features:
• Blu-ray - Audio Only
• High-Fidelity Pure Audio
• Playable on Blu-Ray player or PS3 console
• Audio taken from original master tapes and delivered in 24bit/96 khz
• 2.0 DTS and PCM Mixes

Decoding LPCM stream (track 2): Bitrate: 4608Kbps Sample Rate: 96KHz Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 24bit
Decoding DTS-HD stream (track 3): DTS-96/24 core Bitrate: 1536Kbps core + MLP data.Sample Rate: 96KHz Channels: 2 (DTS Master Audio 24bit)
Decoding TRUE-HD stream (track 4): AC3 core+TRUE-HD. Peak bitrate: 3366Kbps (core 640Kbps) Sample Rate: 96KHz (core 48Khz) Channels: 2

Pretty sure that you could still fit all of that on a DVD, the benefits of using a BD would be higher sample rate and the potential for more channels, unless it is just being used to charge a premium.

mostly likely you can rip it, but it will probably use BD+ encoding.

Easy :)

I really hope not, for the sake of the vinyl.

Actually, I think the track selection on this has been very judicious. Of the potential candidates for inclusion, they didn't duplicate any of the content that had already been released on the 2012 Anthology (The Hump Groove Without a Doubt, Minniapolis, Big Meat Show, Why Why Why). And they've included some stuff that was previously vinyl only (The Hump Wild Beasts and Eclipse).

The 5cd will be available digitally as well according to a Facebook comment. I think it was steven hall who said it but can't recall and don't wanna dig through all that on my phone...

Since all of the tracks are coming from Midi files, I wish they would just release all of the individual sound tracks (bonus data dvd?) then we could make all of our own remixes...

this would be legendary!

I would love to have acappella and instrumental versions of all tracks on dubnobass.

this would be a very 2014 thing to do!

very underworld!

Yeah if you were a Beatport artist desperate for promotion

It would be nice though to hear some new 2014 mixes of the old songs.. I wouldn't even mind if Pricey did a bit of work on them for a remix package.

Re: Dubnobasswithmyheadman: 20th Anniversary 5-CD Deluxe Boxset

Remixes by UW inc.Pricey could be okay though from the Dubno era, there are so many remixes by the boys that were essentially different tracks already! That's my kind of remix. Been so disappointed the past 10 or so years of producers either just adding a trendy drumloop to a classic UW song like cowgirl, dark and long...or taking the vocal loop and smacking it on whatever crap track they had lying around and calling it a remix
There are exceptions, but they are few.
Anyway...always prefer a new UW product to an external remix. Wonder if they will be faithful to the original dubnoversions in the live show or alter those that rarely/ never get played live?

actually, they feel sloppy, haphazard, and very random.

omitting various major mixes (mother earth(fm mix), and
including basic ones that we have heard many times over.

also, if you're going to include and not include lemon interupt tracks,
what about:
=================================================
bigmouth 10:08 v, cd
bigmouth (edit) 7:34 cd
-------------------------------------------------------------------
eclipse (leo re edit) 8:04 dig
-------------------------------------------------------------------
minniapolis 9:09 v, cd
minniapolis (full)10:05 cd,dig
minniapolis (edit) 4:47 cd
minniapolis airwaves 3:03 v

also, why are the mixes on disc 3 all of out of order?

would it have been that hard to keep them chronological?

puzzling choices for the discs.
