The most recent work of his that I can think of would be his collaboration with David Byrne which is, well... let's just say that I can't really listen to it for more than a minute or so.

That said, I've never been a fan of David Byrne's work, so perhaps that's what rubs me the wrong way.

From their wiki:
Jean-Baptiste Mondino directed most of Les Rita Mitsouko's music videos in the 1980s.
aha!
Tons of creativity in those, most 5 mins long clips

God I love this album! The No Comprendo was the first one I bought - on cassette - when I moved to France in 87. (Kind of summed up my communications skills at the time ;) ) Bloody brilliant, even if you can't understand all the lyrics!

I especially loved Les Histoires D'A...

Catchy as f00k. :D

i loved swans way for a brief moment,i even gave away tickets to see the smiths to see them (looking back a daft thing to do).
the bass player in swans way appeared in some ace groups through the 80's, all of them birmingham bands.
first i think he was in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSZD0wmJSAQ
there's more than a touch of underworld mk1 there i reckon?
then after swans way mr.bass and the backing singer had a minor hit with

So UW and High Contrast? From that I'm assuming he may be there to remix You Do Scribble?
