Re: Youtube Videos
Man, the Pride parade one made me so unProud or something.
I feel kinda, you know when you really LOVE a song (I'm sorry, I'm so f-in tired of any BS anytime) and you get the warmy fuzzy feeling in your chest area. Well, this one does the complete opposite of that. Like, my heart imploded into a black hole of never ending opposite of that feeling I mentioned already. |

Cos you girls need to be shocked from time to time. And cos I'm in it, I'm the SNAKE! Nah, cos it's a 'cover' and there's not loads of underworld covers. The interwebs is full of awefull remixes, rebuilds, reworks, remash-ups and whatever, this is something different Since nobody seems to be doing deep mining UW news like I did for my now defunct blog, where this also would have been posted without a moment of doubt, I did post it here. If you can't stand the look of gay people I pity you, I'll request Todd to provide big red banners to go over anything out of the square grey dullness of everyday living if that suits you. :D |

^ This is weird, and I have a question to raise from seeing this, when did they stop playing Mk1 material live? Im fairly sure there were no live performances of Mk2 stuff when Dubno came out -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ7pcq-qwLA Hmm...-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbTsBDN0-YU |
Re: Youtube Videos
I'm pretty sure there's a proshot of karl doing doot doot on the edgelands tour somewhere around...
my understanding was that the last live mk1 performance was in 89 with the eurythmics farewell tour after which Karl stayed around the states doing session work (there's a video of Karl on stage at a debby harry concert) and Rick went back to the UK eventually to be introduced to Darren and yadda yadda, you know that story, but that last video has a date of 91 and the gigography shows a few shows as mk1 that year as well. We know of the Experimental Sound Field in 92 and the gigography has shows listed for 92 and 93 as well, not to mention that the live jam and crowd feedback was so important to the creative process in that era all pretty much means that they were definitely playing mk2 stuff before dubno released. |
Re: Youtube Videos
Pretty sure they stopped playing MK1 stuff after the band disbanded in 1991.

I found this yesterday on YouTube:
a two minute video clip of Underworld - Pearls Girl from Pinkpop 1996 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6LL107X7kc I don't remember ever seeing it, but could be a repost of an old link. ---Jason |
Re: Youtube Videos
it looks vaguely familiar - I especially remember the shot where they walk around the gear.

Re: Youtube Videos
The 1996 Pinkpop was posted earlier in this thread, as part of a video that also had Orbital.
And speaking of Pinkpop, here's an hour and a bit of the 1999 set in good quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfvgiEF_Pys Edit: I still find it absolutely insane that someone set off a flare during Moaner. Good way to create some space around you I suppose... |
