Worked here in Germany, PayPal accepted Euros ans sent confirmation e-mail.

I just got the 'Error with this Transaction' message and the paypal confirmation email trying to order the two new 'Scribble' wav downloads.

No email from UW, nowhere to download em. :(

Dear Underworldlive.com customers,

Firstly let me apologise for the problems you have been experiencing with the shop on underworldlive.com.

We have now fixed the following issues-
  • Not being able to pay in your native currency.
  • Not receiving a confirmation email from underworldlive.com (please see important notes below)
  • "Error in Transaction" error message on return to the site from paypal.
With regards to previous purchases
If you have received a confirmation email from Paypal then we HAVE received your payment and your order IS being processed. Please do not try to buy it again. However if you would really like to try the purchase again please reply to this with a request for a refund. You will then receive an email from Paypal confirming the refund and you can then go ahead and order the products again.
If you have NOT received an email receipt from either Paypal or underworldlive.com then your payment has NOT been received and the order is NOT being processed. Please purchase again from the shop in this situation.

If you did not receive a receipt from underworldlive.com
This will be because you did not click the "return to underworldlive.com" link after paying through paypal.
We realise this is not made clear in the checkout process but you must click this link!
We are currently working on a solution that will negate the need to click this but in the mean time please ensure that you do click this link.

As stated above you are now able to purchase in your native currency. Paypal will convert this to GBP for you.

If you were getting the error message "Error in transaction" this is because there was an issue with paypal sending back special characters in the name and address fields. This issue is now fixed.

Again we are very sorry for the problems you have been having with the underworldlive.com shop and hope that you can now find all issues resolved.

Andy,

This is still slightly unclear. I have received a receipt from paypal, but not from underworldlive - I did not click the link as I saw no need to. According to your email & post, my order has been received and will be process with no need to reorder (since I received the paypal receipt), but further down your email you mention that the "return to underworldlive" link much be clicked. Do I need to re-order this (and request a refund on the previous order) and received both receipts to obtain the actual product?

This is the important bit for people who've ordered physical product, and not got a confirm from Underworldlive.com. I think it clears it up. I also did not click on the "return" link.

If you received a confirmation from PayPal then your order went through...

i'm sorry, no offense to my fellow dirts... but quit your whining. if you're that worried about it, go CANCEL your order and when you get confirmation of your refund, then go back to the shop and RE-ORDER it. :D

I'm not whining, just unhappy with very poor service for/from/by/through my most favorite musical entity that has ever existed.

dude, relax. you have posted the most (and not only on this thread, on others that aren't even related) of anyone else regarding your unhappiness and i'm sorry, but no one cares anymore. the store is fixed.

the band have nothing to do with the problems the store had as it's being hosted by a 3rd party company. if you're unsatisfied - send a message to digital animal and quit spamming the forum. :mad:

dude, relax. I really care about underworld, i don't think they should have a service that is broken (and fixed and communicated that is was broken a week later). For the record I have sent 2 email to digital animal and still have not been answered (non-boilerplate/mass email)

let me re-state that I have nothing against the band or management, just its choice for buying/purchasing services. thats all. relax. :rolleyes:

I think the band are completely responsible for the DigitalAnimal fiasco. They chose to hire DA to handle their shop and it's been a complete disaster. I agree with testudo that it's irresponsible for DA to send a form letter to everyone when there are very specific problems for each order. For example, I wasn't charged shipping, emailed to let them know and still haven't received an email back about whether they're going to wave the shipping fee or send me an invoice. Also, at Underworldlive.com, we were told to email support@digitalanimal.com but in the form letter, we were told to email info@digitalanimal.com. Which email address will get a response?

Either way, Underworld are responsible for the operation of their webstore.

Ha! Its been my experience that more stuff gets botched with regards to canceling orders than making them.

Why on earth would a payment process require me to go back to the site I purchased from? It doesn't make sense and goes against everything a well designed site would strive for. Its the opposite of usable. Its unusable. (I'm a user-interface designer so I nitpick these things :P)

So now I'm thinking they have my order (they certainly have my money) but without the UW confirmation email, I'll always have that hanging, nagging doubt.

I hear you, but as an ex programmer - all I have to say is that those confirmation e-mails are all automatic. Your information is grabbed from your PayPal transaction and then generated and sent. All your info is stored in a database. UW's PayPal account has a record of each transaction. The e-mail from the bloody store is just a duplicate pulling underworld's logo. The only thing I would be worried about is if I never received a confirmation from PayPal.

I think Underworld are best quality, and deserve the best quality (that includes getting the quality music to the people that love the quality music)...

This is what happened when I ordered it. There's a problem with their database code. Someone needs to fix it - but all that link does is it sends your information back to the store for a generated e-mail. I think it must be something with the currency symbol $ - but that's just my speculation. It's been years since I've done any database programming... :D

nah. just bored and cranky at work... i double checked my paypal account after reading another dirts post about his transaction being reversed and no confirmation given... i was like, what the... but the charges are still there so I'm not worried. :D

No you do not need to re-order. If you have a paypal receipt we have received your order.

I got another problem.
I tried to order in JP yen, but right after I pushed "check out with PayPal" button, I got an error message."The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount."I have completely no idea since I just ordered only 1 item and got an error about the format.

We are aware of this problem and are currently working on it. It seems to be problem with the yen.

ok, i got the bank thing sorted out. the payment has been made and my boxset has been paid :D

thanks andy for clearing things up. it seems the bank was doing the monthly balances and i purchased the album when they were doing that. now that it has been done, it appeared.
