if you listen to the innervisions orchestra mix (i love this mix), there's a nice breakdown where this bit sounds a lot clearer / less treated. sounds summat like

"needs a car summat oooopposiiiiiite"

which makes no sense, eh. :) i dunno. actually i'm not convinced he's singing in english! :confused:

ah. ive only really listened to it on the album version. with headphones (and maybe im projecting what i want to hear) it sounds like "is a croc-oh-dile" pretty clearly. ive been wrong before, and wouldnt be surprised if i was way off :P

Why didn't anyone ever correct me, when this is obviously "Flashin'" and not "Fresh in"?

On the other hand, it gave me an opportunity to see just how many of those Internet song lyrics sites are cribbing directly from us (or each other). All the sites except for 2 had "Fresh in".

The heavily vocoded part in the middle of Crocodile starting at 4:23 is "this needs (a) couple more verses".
