Oh for Christs sakes. Well whatever, at least I don't flunk high school if I don't get a song right for all eternity... :)

Being Boring - Pet Shop Boys <--- only song that makes me cry... everytime I hear it
Sea Song - Doves (and pretty much the rest of "Lost Souls" ;))
Wish Fullfillment - Sonic Youth
Halcyon + On + On - Orbital
Nothing Natural - Lush
Loomer - My Bloody Valentine
Speak To Me/Breathe - Pink Floyd (they're not really 2 songs right? That's like not being able to choose the 16 minute version of Juanita on STITI otherwise...)
NY - Doves
Warning Sign - Coldplay
Digital - Joy Division/Warsaw

But I do like Underworld a lot, I swear... :)

doppelgänger is pretty good, but their later albums can't even touch the amazing pubic fruit. "cherry" is really an outstanding track.

true enough; but i just felt like there wasn't anything else to come from then by then. i still remember hearing "ten little girls" for the first time though (it was the 3rd cd i ever bought!)

Thank ya :) I consider Lost Souls to be the top 3 of the 21st century so far, so if you haven't grabbed that yet I'd recommend picking it up. And their DVD is wonderful as well.

Wow! Lush...that takes me back to the early-mid 90's, when alternative rock meant something! Nice choice!

And "Warning Sign" is such a great song. It hit just as i was breaking up w/someone...timing was perfect.

Yeah, and I still jam to these guys regularly. I initially was more impressed with their album Spooky, but at this point I feel that Split was a much better album because it has more staying power.

I enjoyed your quip about alternative music, as I can relate to how exciting those days were. You had Kevin Shields discovering the lost chord with the Loveless album, Lush, Slowdive, Ride, Chapterhouse all doing the shoegazer thing and giving you tremendously developed productions, with no comparison in sight... and you had a young genre that everyone called Electronica, that was so exciting and optimistic -- you definately felt like you were privelidged just to be there for all of it. if I could re-live that era, I would've made more money with my high school jobs so I could've bought more CDs... :D
