I enjoyed your quip about alternative music, as I can relate to how exciting those days were. You had Kevin Shields discovering the lost chord with the Loveless album, Lush, Slowdive, Ride, Chapterhouse all doing the shoegazer thing and giving you tremendously developed productions, with no comparison in sight... and you had a young genre that everyone called Electronica, that was so exciting and optimistic -- you definately felt like you were privelidged just to be there for all of it. if I could re-live that era, I would've made more money with my high school jobs so I could've bought more CDs... :D |
