Had a dream a couple of nights ago that Karl was telling me how upset he was that he was simply the vocalist on the new tracks. In the studio Rick had brought somebody else in to use the mixing desk that Karl usually used. He just felt like the singer brought in at the end to add the hooks to the tracks, and was on the verge of leaving Underworld. He was so upset by it that he'd turned to drinking again. This is why the album had been delayed.

There's a new listing for a release called Strawberry Hotel here:

It's an import from the UK and a CD, release date of Oct. 25. The catalog number (UWR00098CD) is the next in series (Denver Luna was UWR00097).

The pricing suggests it could be an album. And that the fact that it's listed as a CD (there hasn't been a commercial CD single since 2007). If it is an album, then the catalog number sequence suggests there wouldn't be any single releases before the album.

cool, but strange that it would show up like that without any kind of announcement.

Another odd wrinkle for this potential album title: beyond naming the album after a key song (which, though a classic trope and the most epic of the new songs, is something Underworld haven't done), there's the issue of Strawberry Hotel being an actual IP - (https://www.strawberryhotels.com/)

I'm sure the Europeans already knew, but I had just figured the song title was normal Underworld mashup imagery and discovered the actual company while looking for more album listings today. Seems strange, hoping it's a placeholder. Maybe it is just a single...

Yeah, it's a bit odd. Things could always change though, too. The Drift album went into distribution systems with its original title, "Drift Songs" and was changed later to "Drift Series 1". The Drift Songs data still persists out there in some systems.
