Where it was 2 weeks ago? One World? Who played that?

BTW: Its Kenny Penne or Lenny Penne?

For Megaupload stuff, you have to get a DL ticket...click Stimpee's link, and watch the timer in the upper right...wait like 45 seconds and the real link appears.

Thanks again, Stimpee for the music hook-up!

Can't wait for monday morning :)

Could be that it's just growing on me, but "JAL to Tokyo" (aka Electronic Part 1) in the higher kbs format sounded better all around...nice vocal fade out, too!

From what I picked up from the interview:

"We still want to make physical things. I'm a record junkie. I like going out and cruising the stores and buying stuff off the racks. This is just an initial sort of way of working where we can speed up the process. Once the things finished, to be able to make it available. I've done 25 years of waiting to be scheduled."

To me, it sounds like the "150" tracks are going to be more like sound tidbits than complete finished songs. Like Karl said, this is just the INITIAL way of working, and from the sounds of it, a proper record will be released in the future. Maybe he's using this as sort of a sounding board? Throwing it up against the wall to see what sticks? See what the fans like more, and then assemble a record out of that?

I dunno. I love Underworld, but 150 tracks just sounds a bit much. I can't imagine that all 150 are going to be of "Pearls Girl" or "Dirty Epic" greatness. I would rather see them trim the fat and get something really solid out.

I bet you won't sign the 'open the lemon vaults' petition then? :(

Because they work on their laptops while traveling etc, swapping projects back and forth, there may well be a lot of finished songs. I think that's what they're going to put online. I think that is great. But ofcourse, there'll be things not everybody likes.

i think that's a great idea! Not only will the die-hard dirties get their hands on all the bits and pieces, you'll get a reaction to what people most want to hear reworked or left as-is. This, along with test-driving tracks on the road or with DJs (Daz in the old days, BBCers and maybe Pricey now), is a cool way to get input.

Though i'm in now way saying anything i create is musically on-par with UW, but i have found that just burning tracks i'm working on and giving CDs to friends to demo is a great way to get critical feedback and essentially "Step away" from projects i get too close to to hear mistakes!

Anyway, many MANY thanks to Rick and Karl for entrusting the fans with this pretty cool task!
