Re: Always Loved A Film
always with the hating before the listening...
not saying that the remixes of uw singles or that of almost any single is better than the original, but remixes make the world go round and i'm enjoying a new variety of mixers names being used - underworld like to use current and also big name remixers - Michael Woods is pretty much ambienty / dubby, and i think will suit UW, ffs half of what uw did with the RRP's was that style... I like michael woods... |

Re: Always Loved A Film
Hmmm...kind of disappointing :(
I think we all yearn for the days of the Pearl's Girl-style EPs and I can't see a better track for this than ALAF...there's like 6 different versions now, one of which is a radical departure and has been asked for by the fans for years, plus there's like a zillion unreleased tracks out there... I know the remix is a huge part of the electronic scene and all but I can count the number of good UW remixes on one hand, most of the remixers just don't seem to be trying too hard...too much "grab something out of the garbage can that wasn't good enough to make your album, add the UW vocals, stretch out to 9-10 minutes, presto" Still hope I'm surprised by this one, I mean I really do like what's become of the album track... |
