Re: when?

Unless they do a Radiohead DIY digital release, I don't think you'll see a physical release until Nov/Dec or early 2011. Most promo stuff gets issued months in advance and I ain't come across any.

Re: when?

Perhaps. Oblivion with Bells was announced in mid-June and dropped in mid-October.

Crocodile (Bang the Poll) was heard well in advance of OWB.

Re: when?

Wait... do you mean "JAL To Tokyo"? b/c I thought that was "Bang the Poll"

and "Crocodile" was "All These Things"

Re: when?

thing is, we got the remix of "JAL to Tokyo" attrributed to Mr/ andMrs. Christmas prior to "Lovely Broken Thing" - and while the original is just fine, i dare say the remix (Justin W?) was more exciting.
That was in 2005. Riverruns finished in 2006 and nothing from them, really, turned up on OWB, 2007.

Meanwhile - i'll be surprised/ shocked if any of the tracks listed above get released. yeah, "globe" and "biro the leggy" stuck around awhile before becoming "holding the moth" and "Beautiful Burnout". But YDS? That's been played live since 2005. ALAF, versions even longer - 2002/3?. That and Telematic peel have already been "released" via UWlive.com. "Bamboo" has had several years' run both live and in studio. i think that Rick and Karl are ultra-creative, and more likely to channel what's immediately turning them on than what they've been putzing with for years. Still, these are all wonderful tracks and would be fantastic on a new studio LP. Nonetheless, i'd love to be surprised the next time around.

Re: when?

what i like from the unreleased tracks is that they feel more electric, more synth-heavy. things like between stars and diamond jigsaw are kind of synthpop mixed with the usual u/w stuff, and probably will be the catchier stuff in the new album (if they appear in the new album). YDS, ALAF or strumpet are 'traditional' u/w (they remind me of second toughest in the infants for some reason) and the release of them depends on what k+r want.

and i'm seeing a drum kit and a bass and i actually don't know what karl or rick want.

I think that rig was from the PureScenius gig, belonging to the band he linked there.
